Hello all,

We make it quite clear that we use ONLY FedEx Ground for shipping in the United States. What's the best way to handle an auction winner who says, "By the way, I really want to use USPS Priority" or something along those lines?

That's an easy one,,,,,tell them to add $10.00 for the cost of gasoline for you to drive it to the Post office.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the idea. I didn't use an obscene surcharge, but I instead offered her the equivalent that USPS uses, Priority Certified Mail with Return Receipt. Which, of course, comes to at least a couple of dollars higher than FedEx...

I had a similiar problem about a year ago. The buyer lived in the boondocks & up lane a mile long. FedEx & UPS would not deliver in the winter time because the lane was not maintained. I asked & received extra $$ to ship to a PO Box by Priority Mail.
