I dunno Jack. I've had a few customers that have done severe damage to my rear end.

Did you check the driveshaft u-joints?
If the noise is really coming from the differential, pull the cover and look for loose metal pieces.

Thanks! It's Not the u joints....It's the rear end....NOT that REAREND.com!!!!!!!!!!hahahaha.....I went there,,nice but it won't solve this problem.

I did more searching and made some calls,,rather FIX it before it HAPPENS when I least need it....$500.00 and UP....

Jack, why not get another differential out of a boneyard? Much simpler to install a whole unit than trying to rebuild the old one.

If I had a scanner I'd give you the info you needed.
Just got done rebuilding one yesterday.
If it's not the driveshaft it's more than likely the pinion bearings, possibly the carrier bearings.
Buy a rebuild kit have everything you need, for around $100.00.
Everything Except the motivation to do it!
