The Wall Street Journal reported last week that requests for monogramming are strong this holiday season, leading to delays in mail order shipments due to the time it takes to process monograms.
Here at Fluffy Central, we sent an order (by mail, with a check payment, how old-fashioned) to Lillian Vernon on November 29. Ordered were 2 monogrammed Christmas stockings and 1 monogrammed ladies leather wallet.
Fluffy certainly hopes none of her eBay bidders are buying from Lillian Vernon, because some of them surely would have died of apoplexy by now. The only (and she means ONLY) communication she has received from Lillian Vernon is a computer-generated $9.00 refund check. Fluffy is still scratching her head with one paw over that.
As we swing into the holiday week, Fluffy cannot but help muse sweetly that there must be a great deal of frustration and anger out there, much denting of walls as bodies are hurled against them, and so on. Not here, of course, in safe snug and warm Fluffy Central; if the stockings don't arrive, well, the planet will continue rotating on its axis all the same.
Customer jitters? What's that? We're closed.

Hey, Fluff--I thought your thread might be about the earthquake. Did you feel it this noon?
