Half.com users just got a notice from Ebay that they're going to fold October 2003. Anybody else get that notice? Does this mean we have to abide by Ebay seller rules and pay to have our items listed?

This sucks.

So, does anyone know of an email or phone number to provide customer feedback about the phasing out of half.com?

Is this the email you got:

Dear Half.com Seller,

Over the past few months, you may have heard how eBay is evolving its marketplace. We'd like to share some information about that evolution and about how you can start selling on eBay.

As we previously announced, Half.com will become part of the eBay platform by the summer of 2004. The transition will include numerous enhancements to the eBay platform to enable more efficient buying and selling of the types of products offered on Half.com.

We're also introducing the first of these enhancements, called Pre-Filled Item Information, to improve the process of selling on eBay. Pre-Filled Item Information enables you to list books, music, movies and video games on eBay using the same product database currently used on Half.com. See a preview of this new feature.

We'd also like to keep you informed during this transition. We created an online Transition Center for announcing Half.com integration news and sharing eBay best practices.

In the Transition Center you will find:

• Transition announcements

• eBay upgrades in progress

• Tips on how to get started on eBay

• Links to areas on eBay that can answer your most immediate questions

Best wishes,

The Half.com by eBay Team
