okay, I listed a lot of postcards. used the words chromolith and linen in the title. got an opening bid but only 4 hits in 3 days? what did I do wrong? and please be kind, no name calling. ebay #2191717800
sorry I don't know how to do the link.
is it too late to fix it?

Hey, Rarriffle! I bid three times on it and was outbid each time, up to $15.00, and now it's higher. When I looked at your auction, there was already a bid, and I assume that bidder has a good high proxy there.
Comments: I like the way you've described the lot of postcards. I think maybe I'd have put how many (109) in the title line, and I might have taken a tighter shot of three of your best cards for the top picture. Other than that, I have no suggestions for you.
Several of my auction items closing Sun. night (including a few postcards) have just sat there for 5 days and have just begun to get some hits; other items are doing very well. Go figure!

thanks for looking Roadsmith...there are over 160 total cards there...I pulled about 40 of my favorites out of the lot I bought...you know, photos, cartoons..that type of thing.

Your auction looks good ! Lot sellers frequently provide shots of some of the better postcards but it doesn't seem to be necessary - everyone knows those are the best ones and not necessarily representative of the lot. Roadsmith is right - bids on postcards often come towards the end of the auction, so don't fret. Lot buyers drool at your kind of auction - a lot offered by a non-postcard dealer (translate: an unsorted lot and not one filled with unsellable, junk cards). The one suggestion I would make is to list next time in "US town views - mixed lots" but buyers will find your auction in a key word search. The "mixed lot" category is full of single pc's offered by a large seller who doesn't seem to want to take the time to list in a more specific category anyway so it's not easy to view the category. neglus, thanks for your input. I have revised by listing in the second category...31 cents investment. I just hope you are right and they find it, and then BID,BID,BID! LOL.
