Hi, all: Listing auctions on Vendio today, suddenly half of my description was in bold-face type in the "quick preview" for ebay auctions. I really liked the bold type! Made the words much more readable, but I was puzzled as to how that could have happened. Went back into the auction, made a couple of changes, did the quick preview again and the boldface type was gone.
But it made me think: Is there any way you know of to get that all the time?? Or was it just an internet hiccup?

I do all of my auctions in bold face type & color. Here is the formula. Put this in before you write the description. <b> That will make all bold. You can change the size of your type by <font size=+2> color; <font color=red> Tou can use any color or size that you want You would have to decide what size by experimenting.

Well!!! That explains it. I've always used <p> to separate paragraphs in my descriptions and was under the impression that <b> made a line break. In fact, I thought I'd seen that here in Ebay Outlook somewhere. Today I was writing a description that included a series of items which I wanted on separate lines and used <b>. Thanks SO MUCH for the tip. I'll be using bold from now on. Much much more readable. Thanks, Sanmar.
And Toasted--I'll be studying the links you gave me. Thanks to both of you, I'm (even) smarter tonight!

Hi, Roadsmith!
One of the best sites I found (years ago) for HTML and other tutorials is Pongo's site. Jane is no longer in charge of things there, due to health, unfortunately, but the site is a GREAT resource for 'how-to' info. It even includes "test" pages. This site has seen many changes over the years to keep pace with the changes on eBay, and I think they've done a wonderful job.

syes is correct in going from bold to small case. You can also change size of type & color any time you want within your ad. I do this to bring attention to something that I feel is important in my TOS.
