This has been my week from you know where. Lots of sales two weeks ago but dealing with mostly crazys and NPB. These last two are a joke. In my auctions and EOA emails, I always state the terms: payment method for USA and international bidders, Acceptable time for email respones and payment receipt etc ALL THREE OF THESE AUCTIONS WERE WON BY BIDDERS WITH OVER 50 POS FOR BOTH BUYING AND SELLING
Auction #1 Canadian buyer sends a money order in canadian dollars drawn on a canadian bank. I emailed twice stating US dollars drawn on an institution based in the US. Their reply: but it costs me more!!!
Auction #2 Another Canadian buyer said to have the chicken pox and stalled for payment. when asked if it was too difficult to pay for both auctions they won. Their reply was "actually I only wanted one of the items. I just like getting the bidding started" My reply to them was to remind them that this type of behavior causes trouble for both buyer and seller and also send them a link to the NPB section of ebay
Auction #3 this is the one i havent done anything about yet and wondering what I should do. I emailed the EOA twice. Never got a reply from that email address but got this message back through ASK SELLER A QUESTION: "Please email your address for this item to XXXXXX (different email address)for faster payment. Thank you
I think I should write: If you have changed your email address to what is listed below, please correct this info with ebay. It is against Ebay's rules to contact buyer or seller outside of ebay. I have sent you two emails so far in regards to your willing this auction etc etc
HERE'S THE SCAREY PART. I tried to bring up the domain part of the new email address and it IS valid through allwhois.com a utility company but it looks like it is to a different name

Some days are just like that. Not much you can do about it.
Now as to bidder#1
Tell them to send the proper amount in u.s.$ and you can send the other one back with their item.
If not, file for your fees and move on. Never waste time if they do not comply.
Bidder#2
File for fees because this bidder is brain dead. Move on.
Bidder#3
Since you have told them about the email addy move on to the payment part. As long as you get their mailing addy and they pay you just complete the deal.
Since the name is not the same make sure they pay by P.O. money order or bidpay only. No paypal! Cover your butt. This might be a gift so who knows. You can ask.

With your bidder #3 I have had this happen and all I do is use the email address they requested you to use and it goes through fine. When people register for eBay they probably use their main address and then switch to a hotmail or yahoo and use that one the most so they look in their first. When I have had that happen everything goes through fine.
With bidder #1 they should have known better. Did you mail their package? If not send the money order back and request the right one. Of course it is going to cost them more and you are going to lose. Give them a deadline to respond and if you don't hear from them file FVF.
Bidder #2 trai is right. If they do that often enough and sellers file for FVF they will get kicked off. It only takes 3 sellers and they are gone............

"all I do is use the email address they requested you to use and it goes through fine."
You are fortunate, then.
People with dead eBay addresses have been a big headache for me. At first I reported each one religiously (and they got NARU'd) but now eBay refuses to do anything about them. So why should I waste my time turning them in?
At a minimum, it is duplication of effort since our auto-invoices go to the eBay-registered address. So we have to send them out again after Ms. I-Can't-Cope-With-Ebay informs us she has a different email.
Guess where NPB notices go as well? We do a LOT of those.
No. Huh-uh. Not happening.
We had to set a policy where we refuse to deal with anything other than the eBay address. And we stick to it. Want the item? Change your address with eBay. Take some responsibility, fer crissakes.
My partner opined that people don't want to have "shades". Well, guess what. If you have an eBay id, you don't get shades if you change the underlying email address.

I agree with fluffy. when I got no response to my emails from auction #3, I sent a NPB alert afterwards. THAT is when I received the
Please email your address for this item to XXXXXX (different email address)for faster payment. Thank you
I guess this bidder's email address works!! I was worried that this might be someone trying to harvest email addresses or some darn thing like that. I know, it probably a stupid fear being that they already have my email address from my first email and the auction info.

update on the situation.
auction #1 - sent the canadian money order back. Filed a NPB Alert. They said the know someone in the states who will send a US money order. They know they have only 10 days
auction #2 - filed a NPB Alert on both auctions. We'll see what happens
auction #3 - Never heard anything back from the original email address. If I dont hear anything within 10 days, they get a NPB alert too.
Thanks all for your valuable help. I truly appreciate it! Happy Easter or Happy Pass Over or Spring Stolsis (I can't spell, sorry) to you all!
