I am having the most BIZARRE behavior coming from some of the SAME bidders time after time. I list the reserve price in the description in large letters, and these same bidders start out gangbusters, get to about $5.00 of the reserve and QUIT!!! Anyone else have this happen??? Do they not understand what a reserve means?? I start at 9.99 because it's cheaper fee-wise. I think I must be missing something here! Do they think I'm going to email them and tell them they can have the items for their low bid?
These are one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces that I have no trouble selling for the most part! Would you put them on a blocked list??? Help!!

I just listed my complete inventory of several thousand videotapes in one big lot and set a pretty high reserve. It just matched the reserve with 12 bids. I stated the reserve price in the auction.

I sold off my book inventory last week and had a whole bunch of bids, but it ended at EXACTLY the reserve price.

I seldom put a reserve on my items, but if I do, I always put it in my description. Generally, bidders do not like reserve auctions because they always assume the reserve is more than they want to pay. I think that many of the bidders who bid below the reserve are hoping you will offer them the item at their bid price if the reserve is not met. Dream on, huh?

I just re-listed some of those auctions starting at my reserve price, and se how that goes. I guess I was just floored with the number of people who would continue to bid day after day, obviously never intending to bid up to the reserve price! Seems like a game to me! VERY VERY frustrating. Thank you for your comments! Fawnie
