I'm just wondering if there are any Ebayer's out there still fighting to do their taxes? They're due tomorrow, you know. I'm laughing because both my son and boyfriend have yet to do them and are now struggling to get on the IRS site to download the forms. Seems it's a bit jammed. Both are self-employed. Mine have been in since February. They will make their annual pilgrammage to the post office tomorrow night to get them in before midnight. Meanwhile, I'll be tucked nice and cozy in bed.
Do you think a lot of our bidders will be doing to same?

Finished mine last week - took me 2 weeks (off and on) to do them, so I can't imagine someone self employed trying to do it in a day!

Self employed and Ebay so also filed an extension
Of course, I had to send them $3,000 with the extension and will probably owe another $1,000 or so when I finish it up. That's in addition to the $11,000 I already sent them in quarterly payments If I had been expecting a refund I would have filed in January also.

Don't owe (hubby is 18 wheeler driver and has a bunch of deductions), downoaled the form today, and filed an extension. Oops! Guess I better get it to the Post Office in the morning. It's still sitting in the envelope on the kitchen table. DUH!

I am sitting here right now powering through them. I got a lucky if belated break - my brother-in-law, a CPA, had promised to go through my records and basically tell me what to write on my Schedule C. I had sorta given up on him and was trying to sort through documents myself I got a frantic phone call from him Friday, telling me he'd overnighted me my records back with his recommendations on what I can write off.
Thanks to his far-superior knowledge of tax laws, I am actually going to get a small refund instead of paying. Worth waiting for! And he has a good excuse ... my sister is expecting their first nephew in a month, and he's a bit dazed by the entire process.
