Just noticed I was being charged for both. Would someone please explain how these two fees are different. These only seemed to show up on the fixed price auctions today.

Insertion fee is the basic fee eBay charges you to list an item. This normally starts at $0.30 for items under $9.95 and goes up from there. It's based on the opening price of your auction.

Listing fees include the insertion fee, but can also include other charges like for bold, featured, gallery, 10-day listings, buy it now, and other options you pay extra for when listing.

Final Value fee is the percentage eBay charges you for an item ending with a successful bid. You don't pay this if your item doesn't sell.

The reason today is different is that today the insertion fees are half-price. You still pay 100% for the extra listing fees.

They probably have something weird going on with thier invoicing to show the half price thing for today.
