Several weeks ago I listed a very sought after item. It was a 10 day listing and pre-approved bidders only.
I had a death in my family about 4 days into the auction. I ended the auction and put an explaination at the bottom.
When I got back into to town, I sent everyone that had requested to be put on the pre-approved list an email. The email had links to several sites that sold a similar item.
I got many emails expressing sympathy and quite a few that were surprised and appreciative that I sent them links to where to buy the item.
Yesterday, I get the following email.
i want these shoes. i need a 7. can i buy them from you?
ME: Hello, I do not sell outside of ebay. I do not have a 7. I only have the size 11, which I will be relisting eventually.
could i buy these from you in a size 7?
ME: Hello, I do not have a size 7. Thanks for looking at my auctions.
BIT*H YOU DIDN'T SAY YOU DIDN'T HAVE THEM ANYMORE. YOU SHOULDV'E SAID SO IN THE FIRST PLACE AND NOT GET AN ATTITUDE...HELLO...OKAY...ANYWAY I CAN DO WITHOUT YOU #*!@*Y BOOTS
I absolutely lost it.
You stupid snatch. What the f**k do you think it means, when someone says they do not have something? That if you email enough times the fashion faries will get you one? That this is bizarro world and NONE actually means an endless supply? It is illiterate morons, such as yourself that cuase problems on ebay. You are too stupid to comprehend anything. You are the reason I and other sellers have pre-approved lists...HELLO...OKAY...If I had a pair I would let my CAT rub his ass all over them and send them to you free of charge. That way you could smell what you have for brains.

Holy Cow, you really did come out in a rage. I can't help laughing. I know it isn't funny but I can't believe you sent that response to her. Not that we haven't wanted to respond like that more than once. The worst I have ever said, was the other day I called a guy a moron that kept emailing me harrassing emails 4 months after he left me a negative and I thought I was being harsh.
WOW!

Ohhhh, you joined the dark side with that one. Your right, you lost it here. as much as I can understand your frustration with a brain dead its always best to pull back when you feel it come on.
Next time maybe just write out a letter on your wordpad to cheer yourself up and then hit delete. Need to compose yourself before you answer those kind of emails.

ROFL! I have one of those I m dying to reply to right now. Oh yeah, BTW - waiting to be nice to respond to the "Ooops it sppilled x 2" customer was a waste of time. Not only negged me for that item but for the other three that were mailed at the same time. Now it's an illiterate delusional "cop" that I am dying to tell to kiss my happy azz. Insead I have taken my frustrations out on Fed-Ex who I have been trying to get the same package from for 3 days now. 18 phone calls later the plant manager is dropping it off on his way home from workand I think they are about to block my number.

I sold something recently under my buying ID. She paid with a paypal echeck - $85.00 on a Saturday. I emailed her that I'll ship it out on Monday (I decided not to wait for it to clear...don't know why) and on Monday UPS also emailed her with the tracking number. On Wednesday I receive this from her (same day the echeck clears)
"I won the bid on this item on Saturday and paid the same day thru paypal. The check already cleared my account. It is now Wed and I have not received any word from you yet. Please let me know what is going on or I will have to notify e-bay!!"
My Response:
I have emailed you 3 times and UPS has emailed you with the tracking number. I don't know if you'll receive this email, but I think you need to turn down your spam filter - none of the emails came back to me
undeliverable, so I assume they are sitting in your spam file. Here is your tracking number - xxxxxxxx. It is due to arrive tomorrow. Pleaseemail me back when you receive this email or I will turn you in to ebay for a bad email address! I don't take threats very lightly.
Her Response:
This is my e-mail address. I do not know what other address you have been
sending things to but I do not even know what a spam filter is. My e-mail
address is pretty simple it is the same as my member name. Sorry I do not
know much about e-bay I have only bought things one time before. I just
wanted to know where my merchandise was after 5 days with no communication
from you. Seems pretty resonable to me. Thanks for the order but with your
nasty attitude I will never buy anything from you again or recommend anyone
else to order anything either.
My response (mind you this was my buying ID or I may have just been sicklingly sweet to her)
Don't worry about it - I've already blocked you from bidding on any of my
items. I email you 4 times total and then you have the nerve to say you're
going to "turn me in to ebay". you need to learn how to work a computer
Granted, it wasn't as good as Shop4shoes, but wow did it feel good!

Ooooh, I can't wait to hear your reply! Go at it - get her get her.....I have a mild case of sellers burn out (plus I found out today they want to do back surgery because the steroid shots didn't work, so I'm fit to be tied)

You guys are killing me! So this is what E-Rage is like! I'm shaking my head and laughing - and smoke is coming out of my computer. Not sure if I have the stamina to read the second message you're busy composing, shop4shoes.

My own monkey took me out to dinner. He figured it would calm me down. It did until...
to whom it may concern, i am being harassed by your customer. i do not know why they emailed me to begin with. i had never heard of them until i got an email full of cursing.
The stupid snatch sent the above email to [email protected]. All of my websites emails and photos are served from my own server. The email comes to me.
She is most definately getting an answer...for both emails....I am off to ponder....

shop4shoes
As much fun as this was its time to drop it and move on. There is no gain in this, just a waste of energy.

Shop4shoes,
Even though I would never send an email like you did, I am LOL! Usually I yell at the monitor if some release is called for. But many of us would have LIKED to send a similar one to some buyer who was nuts.

I have my own domains too, so if someone tries to complain about me, it goes right to me. Very funny actually when that has happened before lol. There are just too many idiots out there. Maybe there should be a license to use the internet, like use a car (really just kidding on that, last thing I want is the government to get any more involved unless they can get rid of my stupid spam)

This woman is really stupid. She just emailed me from what appears to be her work address and the email had a virus attached.
you won't be selling for much longer. i have my brother at ebay looking at you right now. bye bye
So much for the self restraint I was practicing...

Sending an intentional virus? Now ain't that crossing the line with ISP? I'd be chatting with someone about that like Pronto. Hey! it's her WORK place? Hmmmm.....

Get a life!!.
The only reason that you can act so "tough" is that you know that there is a 100% chance that this person will not show up on your doorstep.
Why share this with others? There are some people on this board that actually live in the real world, you know, house cars, friends (flesh and blood) problems, solutions and real life confrontations that we deal with in a smart and sensible way. Maybe the rules are different in this "cyber life" that you have created for yourself.
The other problem is "Association". If other sellers treated their customers so poorly I woud have to get a real job (as my mother-in-law calls it). People would start to associate Ebay with fickle, retards who really need to take a look at themselves in the mirror, grow up and deal with their problems in a adult fashion.
Of course that's just my opinion and everyone is entitled to my opinion!!!
