There is a great thread in Other Online Auctions section, discussing the role of the seller in promoting their auctions. Why not stroll on over and give an opinion? We've seen the examples of Carnaby doing a simple promotion by searching the word JUNE and Bidville doing a bit more by using a search term and referencing other sellers by way of a link in their auctions.
This topic applies to Ebay auction sellers too. Do you expect Ebay to do all the advertising for your auctions?
