Does anyone know of a company or persona that repairs glass vases? this piece is VERY heavy and it broke off right before the foot of the vase where the two pieces of glass meet. It is a clean break so it should be easy for someone who knows what they are doing to fix. I don't want to glue it. that would be too easy to do and make a mistake on which would be very hard to correct.
Any recommendations for an expert repair person in the san francisco bay area would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

If the vase is glass, there is no "repair" available. The two pieces would have to be "glued" and of course you will be able to see it. Chips and nicks, scratches, and cloudy glass (sometimes) can be buffed or chemically treated, but glass broken in two pieces can only be glued.
If the vase is pottery, a competent professional should be able to repair it where the repair is not easily (if at all) visible. There used to be a lady that frequented these forums, Shosh, who repaired pottery and porcelain, but I don't know if she is still around. She is in the Bay Area, and I've heard she is quite good! Good luck!

KatyD, why not??? I dont want to use someone who you have had problems with
thanks so much everyone! Believe me, it IS quite important to get referrals from someone who knows and has had experience with these people/companies. I really want someone local to me in the san francisco bay area that I can walk into with my vase to have repaired.
