NOT FAIR!
My auctions closed within a half hour of being down all day! And I could not launch any auctions that day.
I believe this down time effected EVERYONE whether or not they had auctions closing during the down time.

Fair enough, only one day down and I got a full refund. Pictures for most of my items aren't crucial to bidding anyway.

I normally get about 5-10 buy it now purchases every day. I got 0 on May 30th. I would expect I lost between $150-$250 in sales. None of my auctions closed on that day so they are giving me nothing.

If image hosting reliability is that big of an issue to you, then perhaps you should look elsewhere for consistent service? Take the plunge and learn HTML. Its not too difficult insert a remote URL into your descriptions. I pay $100 per year for a web host for eBay and my web store. Image loading has never been an issue.

Web space is so cheap these days, one company I deal with just increased their total space to 200 megs, unlimited transfer, and $8 a month. I don't know how much AW charges, but with Ebay's seller assistant, it is easy to manage the files even if you don't want to use straight ftp. 200 megs, assuming the average pic if 50k is like having 4000 pictures at any given time...

I've used them for several years, hardly any problems, certainly nothing like being down for 12 hours.

You Really Dont know the amount of down time the webhosting you are paying for has inless you are using a service like internetseer to watch your domain name 24/7 and send you an email everytime the URL is down and when it goes back up every week and month they send you a notice with the percentage of down time over the week and month.
the best webhosting including large site like Ebay rarly do better then 85% and in some months 90% 85% is an average of 12 hours down time weekly or 60 hours monthly.
