Is there a way to temporarily close my AuctionWatch store while I'm away on vacation or do I have to remove everything (and relist it when I return)?

When you close your store below is the notice you will receive:

Dear [email protected]

Your store, xxxxxxxx xxxx xxxx xxxxxxxxxxxx, has closed either by your request or for
administrative reasons. This means that:

1) All of your current fixed price items (if any) will automatically end. Also, all of your
fixed price insertion fees will be refunded.
2) All of your current auction items will remain active until their ending date is reached.
You may check the status of these items through My eBay
http://cgi1.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?MyEbayLogin.
3) Your store information is available for the next 30 days.

If your store was closed for administrative reasons, you may have violated our eBay Stores
policy. Please contact eBay's Customer Support group for more information.

If you initiated the store closing, you can always reopen your store by visiting the Seller
Services page http://pages.ebay.com/services/sellerservices.html and selecting "Open an eBay
Store."

1. Are you saying you closed and reopened it without ANY extra cost/charge?

2. I would think that if you have established a "presence," and/or if you have a foundation following of customers, closing a store would be a major mistake unless you notify all your foundation customers.

3. You might use an "auto reply" mail system while you are gone to notify customers when items close, and therefore not have to go through the up and down of an entire store, or loose potential new customers or disappoint older ones.

Why not just add to your item's description saying that you will be away during a certain time period and will not be able to respond to e-mails or ship items until you return? I have seen other sellers do this and it was not a problem for them
