Hi, Don't know if it will help but I have had 4 this week same thing, quaritine is fine as far as I know, it solves the problem and when you rescan it is not there, so Norton must have it handled.
you can also go to there web site.
Good luck (ps, make your ghost disk if you haven't just incase?)it's On Nortons

Just because you have the newest virus program out there means nothing you still must update the virus dat files for your virus scan daily weekly at the least.
ever 60 seconds there is a new virus or Trojan released on the internet they must released fixes for.

when you decide to shop for a new machine, consider other operating systems...virtually all those nasties that are released every 60 seconds are written for Windows computers...........

Go here - can't do a link.
It is Nortons repair tools for files that are repairable.
http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/tools.list.html
This is for the Klez virus
http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.klez.removal.tool.html
Also go into your NAV options. Select Live Update from the tree on the left. Select Auto Live Update and install updates with out bothering you. This will update your NAV whenever you sign on the internet and also install the updates so you don't have to keep remembering.

Thanks for all the help. I do live up-dates every couple of days. I did get into the section of Norton where they offer a fix. You can download the fix. When I attempted to download the fix, I got a message saying there was no virus on the computer. I guess that is because it was in quarrantined. I keep deleting the quarrantined virus from the computer, and it seems to go away for now. But each day, it comes back. My daily scans also show no viruses. This is weird. Keep the suggestions coming,

I had a Klez worm last week & Norton put in quarantine. All I had to do was go into the Norton program & hit the delete & it was gone. I have automatic update on my desktop, but have to go to Norton for updates on my laptop as I don't use it too often. Neverthe less every time I go on line with it I update. You say Norton couldn't fix it, but they did stop it & thats what it is supposed to do.

The message you got was that a properly up to date NAV could not "fix" the file in question. It doesn't mean it can't protect you from the virus. Check your NAV options. They are probably set to "repair" infected files and if not, to "quarantine" them. If you go into quarantine you will find the offending file. Just highlight it and delete it.
Norton has always rated the highest on any test of anti virus programs with McAfee a distant second. PC Mag just had another test and again NAV was on top.

To Valley Girl:
Thanks for your question. I feel secure with Yahoo, especially using the secure mode. Has anyone ever gotten a virus from using Yahoo E-mail?
I have gotten my virus for days now, but got lucky today and it wasn't sent to me. I believe originated in the Middle East.

Putting virus's in quartentine does not delete the virus. And when you do a scan, it skips all quarentine files. You need to specially repair those files after you download new updates from the Norton live update. Simply running a scan will never show quarentine virus files. Also, you should not delete these files. Often you can delete many functions that you regularly use. Everytime you download live update, you should open up Norton and attempt to repair all infected files.
