"EBay Chief Financial Officer Rajiv Dutta said the price increase was intended partly to ``reduce clutter´´ from what he termed ``marginal sellers.´"Wonderful! I pay an extra $200 a year to subsidize "clutter" removal. Obviously it isn't going to work. If the previous .25˘ wasn't enough, do they think a seller with "clutter" is going to notice another wasted nickel? Maybe Meg & Pierre should cut their income of a Billion dollars to subsidize their community of sellers which many rely on this extra money to put food on their tables. Ebay's profits and revenue hit record levels yet they keep finding ways to drain us smaller sellers.

Is this something new or old news? The listing fee has been $0.30 for a LONG time now.

Personally, with all the fee increases by AW, Paypal and eBay, I have cut out a lot of "marginal" auctions. But, I have also increased minimum bids for the others and am making as much money as before with less work. Still detest eBay's "how much can we squeeze sellers" attitude, however. Ironically, ebay's stock is the same price it was 3 1/2 years ago.
