I can't seem to find information about this one way or the other, and no one from eBay has gotten back to me. I'm hoping someone here might know.
I want to offer a personal service on my eBay "me" page.
I'm offering to customize (for a fee) the eBay listing HTML - and create user-modifiable templates - for those folks who are not skilled enough to get their ad looking the way they want.

If you set it up and eBay decides it's against their rules, you can then do two things. Link to a site which continues to provide the information, or offer some other way. if eBay doesn't like what is on your page, they send you a notice to remove the offending item within so many days, it's not like you get a NARU and lose the account. They took mine away eventually (I was off ebay over a month last fall) because it promoted my store and mentioned I could add in other supplies to a bidder's auction, EG if they bought say a model kit and wanted paint or glue for it. Doing this circumvents eBay's fees, see, so they don't want that, even though a $1 retail tube of glue won't even cover the listing fee in an auction, they have to have their 30 cents plus final value fees. Stupid thing is it's apparently okay to link to your own private page which says this, but it's not okay to say it on the Me page hosted by eBay. So I don't see the point in bothering exactly, to ban that. Oh well. I never got the notices being away and when I came back they had just taken the whole thing down. Account is fine, auctions running now -
Given that no one has an answer for you, the only way *to* find out may be to just do it. My page was up for 6 months before they decided to come after it. So when/if they do it to you just complete your current sales, hope for repeat business and word of mouth, and advertise yourself elsewhere.

You can't offer anything on eBay's website that eBay doesn't get to make money from; it's really quite that simple. Don't do it.
You should have it off-eBay. That you should be able to link to.
