I have been scrolling through some sites on EBAY that I wanted to post similar items on.In almost all of the collectible catagories sellers are trying to dump garbage
that would not even sell at a garage sale-This is why we are losing the buyers-they are still interested in buying but they are going back to the Antiques shops, Flea Markets, Estate Sales etc. I don't know about other places but here in New York those places are all packed and the competition is fierce-Would like to know if other EBAY sellers have come to the same conclusions-

How do you know we're losing buyers? I'm sure some buyers have cut back buying because they were laid off or had their hours cut; some just decided they don't like to buy on the internet, but I doubt people are leaving because some people are selling junk. You can do a whole lot of searching at flea markets, antiques stores and estate sales and not find what you're looking for, or spend weeks tracking that certain item down. At flea markets there is a lot of junk too, and antique stores requires looking around at a lot of unrelated items of no interest.
Some of this junk that you see at garage sales, it's loose out of packaging/played with, I see on ebay selling for same or more than a similar item brand new. Much junk is collectible. I almost threw away some magazines thinking it was junk, but tried ebay and they sold up to $25 each. Many collectors can only afford the junk and not the better quality.
So I don't agree with your assesment. What's junk to you is a treasure to another, and the volume of people ebay brings to one marketplace it is ideal to have a mix of quality and selection.

Do Not Mix up the Word Junk with Low Grade,Many Collectors can not afford Very Fine to Mint,Like New Collectibles so they go for more affordable lower grade Items.Then Agian I have A Bride of Frankenstin One Sheet In Good+ I Can Sell you for $30,000.00 now thats some Junk LOW GRADE!!!
