There seems to be a lot of experience here with deadbeats. I have had very few. Here's the story--Auction ends 8/13. I send oud EOA email the same day. I hear nothing from the bidder. 9/5 I sent an ebay reminder. Again, I heard nothing. 9/15 file NPB and get my fees refunded. Today 9/21 I get a oersonal check in the mail (mailed on the 18th) for the auction. What do I do next?

Your choice.
Technically, once you filed the NPB, you were no longer under any obligation to complete this transaction.
If they mailed it on 9/18, looks like to me, they are just trying to avoid a neg.
If you wish to send them the item, feel free to do so. If you don't wish to send them the item, then return their check. Realize either way, they'll still be able to leave feedback for you.
And if you choose to send the item, I'd make darn sure to hold the item until their check cleared after all this time.
edited to add: if you send the item, then don't be surprised if they request you remove the NPB against them.

I think I would just as soon send it and hold the check. I haven't left a neg and as long as the checck doesn't bounce, I don't care about taking off the NPB. Today is Fri , so I can't deposit this until Mon. How long should I wait to mail it?
