Anyone have an item you have re-listed until you were blue in the face and still can't figure out why no one wants it?

I thought people would snap up a pair of little girl's white tennis shoes with sparkly hearts on them, but not even a bite. I lowered the price down to $2.00 I believe. By then, I think I had spent about $15.00 in fees and still got ignored.

Now that it's been a while, I have a notion to put them back up on the auction block, along with the beautiful orange silk jumpsuit that no one ever bids on. Maybe I'll call it a pumpkin orange jumpsuit this time around.

Absolutely! My total losers are a lovely silver plated cocktail tray and a black and silver velveteen bra. I have yet to figure out why no one wants them. (No, I haven't listed them as a set!)

I have this DKNY black purse that I can't get rid of. I listed and sold it once, the bidder never paid. I relisted it, the bidder never paid and somehow I mixed up my paperwork and sent the purse to the wrong buyer in Texas who returned it to me. I then relisted it again, the bidder paid, I sent it and they returned it (wasn't the style they thought). Anyway, I thought I would list it again, but I am almost afraid to see what happens.

Boy, can I relate! I have an old game that I have sold 2 times to buyers who ended up getting kick off feebay. I have a skirt which has sold twice and the same thing happened! Last year I had two Halloween costumes that I couldn't give away and they both sold this year- go figure! And one Halloween costume left over from this year's sale that should be a hot- a Girl Wizard (Think Harry Potter) and not a look!

Keri's still crazy- bless her heart!

bevhead> I have had the same luck with my raspberry red mermaid dress. It has probably traveled the country more than I have.

I have that problem too - I've listed this one set of Pokemon cards over and over without getting a sale.

I put one up last week for the AFA - got 2 bids in the first 24 hours and now 3 bids.. *thud* what's wrong with buying them when I get the $? Oh well.. at least someone will get some good cards and the charity will get some $ from me.

For me it's She-Ra action figures.I listed a group of them a couple of years ago and they sold for a high price, the bidder didn't pay so I relisted, they sold again, another NPB.Over the last couple of years I have listed them several times, they always sell but the bidders never pay.

I know what the problem is! It isn't a purse after all it's a boomerang.

Seriously though, I have had a few of these items, which I believe were manufactured under a gypsy curse and are best given away to the unsuspecting.

<grin> yes, i can relate. have a pair of shoes that by all rights should have sold the first time listed, with multiple bids. no bids. not the 2nd time, either. gave it several months of rest, just put them up again - very low, with a low BIN. again tons of hits, no takers so far.

if they don't go this time, i'm giving 'em to the salvation army.

katiyana - you have inspired me to list one of my "can't even give it away" items on the Auction for America. We'll see if some charitable bidder is willing to take it off my hands!

I had a book that sold twice to deadbeats after being relisted twice. Listed it on Half: sold for double and the buyer paid for priority delivery. Go figure.

It's possible that DKNY purse makes a ticking noise that you can hear outside the box. Maybe you should use more peanuts next time.

Boy, can I empathize...I've got a first printing of a book that ones just like it have sold for over $50...Last time I re-listed it (for the second time)I got no bids with a start of $5.00. And this was after re-doing listing, adding extra photos, etc. It's REALLY frustrating!
