Many people seem to resent the chaos and confusion that AFA auctions are causing and the underhanded, self-serving way that Ebay implemented this program. I plan on voicing my opinion to Ebay through a letter and removing all Billpoint logos from my auctions. The only way to make Ebay listen is to threaten their bottom line. They could care less how unhappy we are as long as we continue to list auctions and use Billpoint. Let's put some action behind our dissatisfaction.

If I was that un happy about it I would show them and quit listing. I think everyone that is mad about A4A should protest by not listing on eBay anymore. Do not give them any way to make money.

You're absolutely right, Jim. I'm going to be significantly cutting back on my Ebay auctions and am pursuing other avenues for sales including a web site and Amazon marketplace. I don't know if I'll be able to completely eliminate Ebay auctions just yet, but I've reduced my auction listings by 75% already. I know not everyone can afford to do that, but if they did it would certainly send a strong message to Ebay.

I also continue to be a no-Billpoint holdout. I hope some alert media types doing their research and with ear to the ground (a minority, for sure) report this side of the story. Maybe un-PC to do now, but hopefully in a week or two that can change.

I was getting ready to sign up for billpoint after a few weeks of thinking about it I made my decision to do so. I hadn't yet done it when they started the AFA and I don't like how they are trying to corner people into it so I have decided not to sign up for billpoint and went for another pay service along with paydirect. We will see how it works out.
