What a decision - been trying to decide which online payment service to switch to from PayPal. When I put these different services into the ebay search, including descriptions, this is what I found:
PayDirect was listed in 3,789 auctions
ExchangePath listed in 6,058
PayPlace listed in 13,450
BidPay listed in 345,555
BillPoint listed in 460,903
and of course PayPal was listed in over 20,000 auctions in TITLE only - my computer was taking forever to find auctions where PayPal was mentioned in description also.
I am surprised to see PayDirect is the least used (at the time I checked these anyhow), I have heard a lot of discussion about PayDirect and thought it was being used more. Whereas, I haven't heard a lot about BillPoint, but it appears to be the most widely used.
So what are the Bidders opting for? Which ones have you all switched to that seem to be going over well?
So far I have signed up for several including PayPlace, ExchangePath, and BidPay. But my bidders still prefer to pay via PayPal so far.
I think to do well, I may need to give only one or two choices at the most. I will probably use BidPay as it works for international bidders; and then I have been considering BillPoint, due to the ease of use on eBay.
This is a difficult decision for me, it could make or break my business. Sales have been down and I -
1.don't really want more fees and
2.don't want to scare budders off with less know, little used services; especially with what PayPal has put us through.
Any new views on this subject??

PayDirect is accepted a lot more than what your search reveals. The reason being that many sellers are afraid that if they list PayDirect as an option in their eBay listings that eBay will pull the auction, so they just mention it in their TOS. But eBay will not pull the auction unless you link or reference Yahoo auctions.
PayDirect is a separate part of the Yahoo family and NOT a part of their auction section. The URL is paydirect.yahoo.com.
