While checking the bid history of an auction with three bid I discover that the 1st and 3rd bidder are one and the same person with the same email address.
The bids were placed at Oct-15-00 05:57:06 PDT and Oct-15-00 05:54:45 PDT
The 2nd bidder placed their bid at Oct-14-00 18:55:08 PDT Their bid is displayed between the first and third bids.
Can someone please explain this to me. The auction has 1 hour and 35 minutes left before it ends.

Hi rampaged...Its really quite proper. Bidder A (14th) puts in a bid of $20.00. The opening bid is $10.00. Bidder B (15th)then puts in a bid of $15.00 and sees he/she is not high bidder because the system automatically brings bidder A up to one level over bidder B. Bidder B then bids $30.00 and is now higher than bidder A. History will now show bidder B as lowest, then bidder A in the middle, and finally bidder B as highest.
This is somewhat convoluted, but I hope you understand.

It might be that this bidder used a proxy bid and they listed the bid as the same day and near same time it was orginally made.
