Hi everyone. I need an email address to ebay.
I had an auction end on 8/20. They had never sent the payment in so i filed a NPB on 9/20. I still hadn't heard from them so i filed for the FVF on 10/10 and left a neg. Well yesterday 10/14 i get their check in the mail.Where do i write them and let them know she paid and will they take that off her record??

I had to do this once before but i can't remember where i had written to them to let them know they had paid.

I looked on the site map but couldn't find an email there anywhere for this.

I suspect that's exactly what the bidder wants you to do, but had you not filed the FVF, you'd have never received the check. Unless the postmark proves otherwise, I don't think this is an honest mistake--the NPB alert was ignored, but the check hit the mail when the FVF notice hit the buyer's Inbox, because s/he wants that black mark off her/his record. I just had a similar situation, except that the buyer didn't send the check--she just claimed that she was sure she'd sent one, but she'd go ahead and send another, and she was SO, SO, sorry. So why didn't she do something about the other notices she got that we hadn't received payment???? Oh yeah, her puter was broke, but it only apparently affected her email, as she continued to bid on and pay for auctions during that time. Just happened to get it fixed the night Ebay sent the FVF notice.

The postmark on the envelope was 10/11. So so you think i shouldn't write them and tell them she paid?? But if i don't write them and tell them she paid and they find out i was paid won't i get in trouble since they have already credited my account??

Had the same thing happen to me a couple of times; wrote Ebay telling them to DEBIT me again for the fees they were owed and told bidder to kindly go in and respond to neg feedback at which point *I* would go in and say all's well, too. Seems to keep everyone happy thataway and Ebay writes back niiiice emails saying thank you for the fees again

I wish I had a nickel for every time someone said... "I sent the check. I'm sure of it" HA! The only thing that really works sometimes unfortunately is a negative comment. It may not make the person happy, and it may cause some retalitory feedback, but maybe they'll think twice before making the next person wait a fortnight for their money. Besides if they do leave retalitory feedback you can always respond to it with the facts. I used to play the nice guy, and tried to make everybody happy. I finally got stuck waiting for a $200.00 payment on an item. That is when I decided that nice guys DO finish last. I say send the check back and let the negative comment stand. If they aren't responsible enough to send the payment in on time. Let the record reflect it.

I wonder if your buyer does that with her utility bills, her internet service and her credit card bills. Me- I would send the check back and forget about doing anything else.

Thanks Glenda that was very helpful.

I want to thank everyone for their help with this. I would have sent her the check back and forgot about it but i have already told her i would send her the item and i would hate to go back on my word to her.I am going to wait until the check clears tho because i have had someone send in a check late like her and it ended up bouncing. Thankfully i hadn't sent the merch. out yet to that person.

You all have a great day!!!!

I knew i could count on all of you!!
