Help! I'm stuck- my son wants me to put something on Ebay Motors- a truck accessory actually, and I can't seem to get there from here. Is there a trick or any way to use AW to get into Ebay Automotive???
Any advice would be very much appreciated!

From what I understand AW does not support E-bay Motors. My Husband asked me to sell something for his truck and I had to do it manually at E-bay.
Good Luck!!

hi mom~~~

Aw is not compatible with ebay motors. The motors area is now a totally separate site.

Antoinette- How did you get the photo on though? I'm so spoiled by AW, I've almost forgotten the nuts and bolts of how to do it!
I tried to cut and paste the address of the photo from AW to the Ebay auction form at Ebay Motors- it didn't work...?? got the old red X.

Mom
You need to upload it to your webspace and then put the web adress in the E-bay site. If you are using AOL I can tell you how to upload it to your webspace. But E-bay will ask you for the web adress when you setup the auction.
Let me kow,

Antoinette,
Thanks- but I have Internet Explorer.
I don't have a web page- although my ISP offers them...then you have to FTP it over and then put that address on the auction, as I recall. I feel so inept without AW!
I don't understand why I can't upload it to AW and use that address. (really feeling stupid here!)

Hi Mom~~

I think, if memory serves, on AW there is "other" auctions?

If so, click on that and then get the URL for the image...copy and paste and it should come up

You might want to post the question about the images in the Auction Manager Forum of AW to get an answer.

Mom,
I beleive you can use the web adress, go into the "AuctionWatch.com Services" Message board and they should be able to tell you what the Web Adress is for the picture.

I see the future of internet use on these posts....
(Hey, remember when we had to FTP our pix to our ISP and then link from ebay?....)
Five years from now it'll be like talking about steam locomotives, the model A ford, three-dial radio receivers....

edited cus I cant spel..

toollady is right...you select 'other auctions'...it will generate the code you need to paste into ebay motors.

Copy the code then to www.ebaymotors.com, select the 'sell' tab and take it from there. I've done it a couple times...it's actually pretty painless and VERY worth the effort.

Well....if you list it on eBay....you can end the auction....then copy and paste onto eBay Motors. It's a little time consuming, but keeps you from having to set up separately on eBay.
It works, and it's a pain.
