Pieces of the Magic Kingdomwill soon be found on eBay.
"Disney plans to launch on Monday a new auction site, CNET News.com has learned. The long-awaited site, which will link to auctions on eBay, will feature items such as Bette Midler's costume from the movie "Hocus Pocus" and a 13-foot tall entrance sign from Disneyland. Bidding on the items will begin Monday."

I said that earlier today but it was pretty much overlooked.
I have been talking about it for a long time. Most of the responses I receive say that people don't care since they don't sell Disney.
What ebay venture will come next? Will it be in an area that affects you, or will you just over look that venture also. (you=all other sellers/bidders on ebay)
Maybe people will start to see that these other ventures affect us indirectly, if not directly.

Well, as a Disney collector I can't wait to see what the Disney site will have. It seems, so far, that the items are 'one of a kind' or very limited editions.
Kellyb: I don't know if this will make you feel any better, but I still plan on buying my Disney stuff from ebayers like yourself. As a WDCC collector I can only buy one piece at a time, but I am still buying!
Although, I could really go for that entrance sign from Disneyland.

Kellyb: I have been deeply concerned about this for MONTHS. However, I will withhold judgment, until the FACTS are in.
I am really hoping that this venture will turn out to be g00d for Disney sellers and collectors.
What do you guys think of the first set of auctions?

I made this same point when eBay banned guns (no, I've never bought or sold one myself), but there didn't seem to be too much reaction then, either.
Apparently, for most people, it does matter whose ox is gored only when it is their own.
