My sister and I are new at this, and need some advise.
We recently sold an Item that was cleaned and starched.Very nice item.
We posted "all sales final".
The buyer said the Item was weird he had many of them and this was different and should be same. She replied it was cleaned before sent sorry for inconvenience but if you wash they will be ok.
Well then he replys "they dont measure right"
She replys sorry you are dissapointed but they are as I said on auction.and all sales final.
He replys "can you just refund money it dont fit,I dont like them they are weird,so I want refund"
Shes fed up by now and says fine you ship them back at your cost and I will refund.
He is still emailing griping about item and she has said I will refund 2 times NOW WHAT???????!!!!

Not much you can do, except ignore him. Be sure to write him one last email giving his two options--send them back at his expense for a refund or keep them. Tell him he will get no other response from you, unless he returns the item, at which time you will issue a refund. If the emails continue, then you'd probably be safe to block them, since you're not going to do anything further unless the item is shipped back. You will probably get a neg out of this deal. Unfair, but that's the price of selling on Ebay. You still have a choice to make about what feedback to leave, if any. I'd recommend a neutral or negative, for insisting on a refund on an "all sales final" transaction. How does his feedback history indicate he'll handle this?

He has a few negs a few neutrals and a few good.I figured I would get a neg out of this.So i will probably keep money for the trouble.I have 30 great responces.I just hate to get a bad mark this early in the game.Is it wise to just check out feed back on bidders before sold???like I said I am a newby any advise is welcome
thx for your reply

I'm sorry to hear about the situation, brookesmom. pickersangel is right, in my opinion.

The weird thing is that your situation is simular to so many others who put the words in bold type in their auctions: USA Sales Only - No International Sales. Those folks constantly get international bidders, primarily Canadians, placing bids on their auctions just to p.o. the Seller. Maybe your sister is suffering the same fate from someone who doesn't believe in "All Sales Final"?

What's wrong, Borillar? Someone comes here with a problem and you try to turn this into another Canadian bashing thread? It is obvious that you show a bit of distaste for us but the majority of us are not placing bids on US only auctions just to p.o the seller. Quit blaming us for every problem on ebay.

shaani: "Quit blaming us for every problem on ebay."

Name one other time I've ever mentioned Canadians on AW.

As far as mentioning them now, that bit came from some Canadians on AW who agreed that Candadians do that a lot. It was in response to a slow sales thread earlier this year, wherein I suggested that everyone simply put USA SALES ONLY in their auctions to raise more bids from International buyers.

What part of "All Sales Final" is in dispute?
I make it part of my EOA notice that I am not responsible for people misreading or not reading my auctions or any other auction statement including the EOA.

DO????? Answer: Nothing. Unless you don't stand by your word.

I'd make a fortune giving remedial English lessons...
