g'night VM... your work here is very much appreciated... soooo interesting too. You've done your good deed for the day allowing the hubby to confess to his food transgressions.

geeeez, I can barely remember being eight... much less anything I ate.

just out of curiousity, is this the longest thread in AW history? it's amazing how people can chat for days now without politics creeping into every thread. BTW- is there decreased chattiness with a waning moon?

stusi, there was one thread that was well over 1700 posts before it was closed. It was called "List" and that's what it was - a list of words.

LOL
I've thought that the Flow-Bee might be a good idea too. But I will NOT buy anything from an infomercial. It just all seems too sleasy or something to me. And I probably thought that $18.95 was too much for me too. And I HATE to pay for shipping and handling. But if I'd ever seen it in a store, discounted of course, it likely have been mine.

I'm kinda stingy with my good chocolates. I'll share my other foods, but don't be trying to get my special chocolates. LOL

But the back to the wall thing, from my observations, tends to be a common trait with men in general. Maybe it's more pronounced in Scorpios, but I wouldn't know about that.

Ummmm, I don't have a good memory. I don't have a memory! I've been cheated!!!! No fair.

mybiddness - good question on people being who they are not.
Absolutely people try. No one is completely comfortable will all of themselves all of the time. Like me and my dratted Leo Venus. I have embarrassed myself on many thousands of occasions when it is driving. THOUSANDS.

For example...

I was dating a Leo Rising guy - so you know.. he was real shiny and all.
So my sister comes to visit (Pisces) with her husband (Scorpio) and we all go out to lunch in this walking neighborhood..

Anyway we are walking home and me and mine pull ahead oh her and hers - we are having private conversations and the is sisterly thing is only goes so far you know
We get to my home and I don't think anymore about this.

So later.. she tells me that she and her husband got the biggest kick out of watching us walk down the street.
"Two Leos" she said.
Swishin, spinnin, promenading, hair being flung, all of it. She said she it was as if we were walking a red carpet done the sidewalk. Is this Oscar night? LOL!
Well I thought I would DIE because I knew exactly what she was talking about - the scene we were making. I was mortified. See, I have laughed at the same kind of display put on by others when in a different mode.

Anyway - yes you can try to repress and yes it comes out anyway one way or the other.
On the crazy - I don't know about that, but I am sure you will be miserable if "parts" are amputated, and we make it hard on people. We have very narrow definitions - just for men and women alone. For example, and Aries woman with a Leo Moon and a Sag rising is very very masculine. This is highly fiery and she is going to have a very hard time not kicking her husband's ass (in some form) on occasion. This is surely not what she has been taught is okay and so there the problems start.

There is nothing wrong with being yourself, and there is nothing wrong with other people being themselves. That is what everyone needs to understand. This is like someone telling me "you should get married." How the heck would they know?

stusi people do calm down after the event (full moon). There is a release.

Okay plsmith - the first thing I think when I look at your chart - is that you have most excellent timing.

See, if your birthday is to be the day it was, then "when" you arrive on this day is critical and you really could not have picked better.
I guess what I mean, is if you were my kid I would be pointing at your chart and bragging to astrologer pals - "Look how my kid fixed the Capricorn moon!"
Very impressive.

See Capricorn is not the best place to put your Moon. The reason is because it is associated with the opposite sign Cancer and also because it is Saturn ruled and so you get:

Saturn - repressed restricted thwarted heavy
Moon - feelings

In your case, you have turned this Moon into your best asset.
Here is how.

First it is in the 9th house (Sag associated with Jupiter). The 9th house is a buoyant place for anything, and this goes a long way towards alleviating the low mood of the Cap Moon. Further, Jupiter and Saturn are natural "partners" akin the Venus and Mars.

Saturn without Jupiter is quite serious and even bleak or morose.
Jupiter without Saturn is pompous and full of big dreams - but hot air.

Together they rock.
"Real Opportunity"
"Cautious optimism"

See what I mean?

Anyway, this is what you have done with you Moon, but that is not all.

It is part of a grand trine - with JUPITER (so now you have 1 part Saturn, 2 parts Jupiter - which is a nice mix) and Mercury which is your thinking planet and should not be underestimated.

Jupiter trine mercury gives an EXPANSIVE MIND, trine the Moon in Capricorn 9th house allow EMOTION to enter the picture and it is both grounded and boundless.

Last, your Moon is elevated (top of your chart, prominent) which gives it more status. As I said - it is your best asset.

I will back to write about your Sun, et all.
I have to take care of a buyer - they are so pesky sometimes

plsmith - I had 1/2 a page written and my computer froze up - dang it.

Anyway, on the timing - this is a function of Mercury, and as I wrote, your N mercury is part of a grand trine and so "good timing" is something you can count on throughout your life.

There is also another "repair" there because your Mercury is in Taurus which is a slow place for fast Mercury - BUT the trine from Jupiter (in Virgo no less - which is associated with Mercury) gives it a huge lift.

You see you are dodging crappy aspects left and right.

Your Sun too. Just into the 1st house from the 12th - so you live in the light as opposed to the shadows which the Sun wholly prefers (is associated with Leo - See Me).

Anyway, timing is not something we think about much but it is critical on a daily basis.

Good morning all!
Plsmth I'm impressed, what with the 2 weeks late and all... I think that means there's no such thing as being born early or late, you're just born. In the case of my brother Paul...he's been born over and over, he astro-planes around the univers a lot, he knew dinosaurs personally...
Anyhoo,
I've been thinking about the food and money assignment for Taurus, the things that stick out in my mind are: My Grandma N's pink icing birthday cake. The icing was called icing for a reason in those days. It was VERY shiny and this very particular shade of pink that I have never seen on a food item (or anything else) since. My little friends from childhood all grown up and hadn't seen me in decades, first thing outa their mouth "I remember your Grandma's B'Day cakes...sigh" She used to put tooth-picks in a certain area of the cake... despite what you think it was actually lucky if you got a slice with a tooth-pick!
The other food things with me are kinda odd...I used to crave and trade food with my bro's and sis to get their...meat fat! Kinda gross, but I LOVED (hot naturally) meat fat! The other thing that sticks out in recent history: the first time in my life that I tasted Creme Brulee...this past year in Santa Barbara...GAWD...how did I miss out on this delicacy?...I wish I coud eat it all day every day!...side note, my Dad introduced me to Ben & Jerry's Phish Food ice-cream...oh Mercy!...and I don't usually crave ice-cream..but this stuff...oh Lawdee!
The "how I like to find bargains" part of the assignment I will bypass for my child-hood toys that I still have.
I got a Barney Rubble doll (and I don't like the cartoon, except for the really cool animal kitchen appliances) when I was 1 year old...he is about 1 1/2 feet tall, and I can remember when he rached almost to my shoulder...I preserved him and had to rescue him from my other siblings and He is on a shelf in a closet right now, looking perfect, neat and tidy, cuz I was meticulous in keeping him protected and clean.
And if I were to ever collect anything it would be of nature...probably birds eggs, because I absolutely am enchanted with that shape! One of my all time prized possesions (other than Barney) is an ostrich egg...soooo cool!

LMAO about the meat fat, Even59! To this day, "picking at the roast" is a recognized activity in my family. How do ya feel about gravy? My friends Harvey and Sue, who've known me for ages, email dinner invitations to me at least twice a month... Subject line always reads: Gravy Alert!

I would have to say...I am VERY particular when it comes to gravy. See, I don't want anything to get in the way of what-ever insanely rich food I am eating. Perfect example: nuts in fudge....WRONG!!! Don't put ANY extemporaneous crap in the way of the pure fudge element!
So gravy has to be pure thick meaty flavored, nothing else.
Oh! And the Taurus hair cutting interlude.
I cut and color my own hair. (I started going gray at the age of 16) I just pick up the scissors and grab some hair and chop it off...weird and frustrating part is ...because I color my own hair I have to admit there is the dreaded "build-up" and I have been wanting to let my hair grow out ...but I have to keep cutting off the damaged bits...it is a bizzare and totally Catch-22 obssesion!

Dear VM,
I am just up from being sick~now this is the 2nd time in 10days that I have had this same bug~and I am never sick. Anyway, it feels very connected to old guilt issues around engaging in some old behavior~that I won't go into here :>, but I am wondering about the huge mess of guilt and responsiblity issues that have plagued me my whole life~and they have kept me full of fear when it comes to pushing myself forward~even though I have a huge drive to move. And can they actually make me physically sick?
And yes, I am the one who lives in the search engines when anyone I know has a medical problem~I have to know everything about it and what to do.
Also, I have always been the one to break off a relationship first first first~and always to beat them to the punch~even if they had no intention of going anywhere. This is a big problem.
So what I have read in your reading thru my fever and chills~is dead on, just wish it wasn't so dead on about my weaknesses! Is there any wisdom about when and how to attack these weaknesses? I hate being so limited by them.

Even59, I am fortunate (I guess) not to have a sweet tooth. Couldn't care less about fudge or cakes or ice cream, BUT! -- I cannot live without popcorn and potato chips and I am (you'll like this part, VM) always on the lookout for the PERFECT popcorn popper and will try any new potato chip that has NOT been tarted up with "flavors" (no sour cream and onion for me... just like no strawberry key lime pie for others... )

The ME ME ME is Aries (your rising, plus your Sun, Venus Merc in the first (Aries) house).
Taurus is much more cultured.. Tries to hide their greed

Aries = me, me, me
Taurus = mine, mine, mine

BTW - a person's entire life cycle can be seen via the zodiac

Baby - ME ME ME Aries
About 2 YO comes Taurus, possession MINE!
3-4YO 3rd sign Gemini - this is when communication begins.
4-6 Cancer - My MOM, my family
middle years LEO - Be kid - lots of play and running, etc...

in the end is last sign Pisces of course - transcend - go to God, etc.

.. and then start back at Aries..

I am almost have my desk cleared.

Hi VM - thanks for the info. Years ago I worked at a psyche ward and had the interesting task of compiling the patient history, psychological test profiles, and treatment results. My amatuer analysis was always that a good percentage of people having mental distress - especially depression- had had it beaten into them (so to speak) through people trying to wrestle them into being what they weren't. It was always interesting IMO to see how they seemed to find different paths (although often destructive) to get where they needed to go in spite of sometimes incredible pressure from "concerned" family members, etc.

Looking at it from an astrological viewpoint gives a whole new depth to the phrase "my natural instinct."

okay mimigigi - the reason you get sick when you are upset is because your Moon (emotions) are in the 6th house (Virgo - health - diet - perfectionism - hyper critical - work and duty - rules the DIGESTION and the Stomach.
Plus your Moon is in Capricorn, which is always "afraid".
On that note, you also have Saturn (Capricorn on the 7th, plus Saturn the 7th house (partner / marriage / relationships) which means you have fear in this realm.

Now the thing to understand is that you have BOTH fear of failure AND Fear of Success.
YES!
See, Capricorn is on one hand afraid that they are so excellent they will get to the top and oh no! if that happens because if it does, they fear that they will be found to be a huge fraud and thus take a long fall.
Because of this, they thwart themselves.
I am SURE you can relate.

So there is a decided sense of not being worthy, which is obviously not the case, in the way that someone who is afraid like this overcompensates.
Capricorn thinks it is broken, but the truth of it is they nearly corner the market on integrity in the zodiac.

The (kind of) bad news here is that Capricorn is pretty much cursed to feel this way until at least 29 YO and more probably 35. This is just the way that it is, this is how Saturn matures.
The adage you hear all time in astrology is "Capricorn is old when they are young, and young when they are old". The good news is that post 35 Capricorn really hits their stride. The age very very well. Best of the zodiac excepting Gemini who don't age physically ever. Boys and girls at 60, 70 Y0 and more - Gems I mean. Capricorn just looooook good when they are old. You don't see them and say "they are 60 and look 40, you see them and say "man, did he/she age well, or what!"

More personal to you is that you have finally paid your dues and so you can quit paying them now, at your option
No joke.
This is your call. Where young Capricorn acts out of fear and self loathing, mature Capricorn is the master of life and acts with wisdom and maturity other signs can only marvel at (or mock if they are jealous).
See - Capricorn is CLASSY but gets there the hard way. These are self made people who make their own luck.

Okay - so this has nothing to do with your Sun as described and in fact the square each other. (hard aspect).

Your sun struts out into life, and I mean anywhere in life and goes "native" in a matter of minutes.

However - he is dragging around this Moon who is sure they are #2 at best and that is on a good day.

Resolution?
Live your Sun (this easy) and care for your Moon.
How?
She feels better when she is needed.
A child, a pet, a hospice, a school, whatever you can think of, but do NOT forsake her for reasons I have said before but ESPECIALLY in your case because you are a cancer rising and this makes her Ruler of the Chart.
Bottom line to that - is she has the wheel most times. How goes the Moon, is how mimigigi goes.

She likes to work, she likes to serve, she needs a GOAL.
Your Sun is a wanderer and let see what happens. Your Moon needs better definition.
How?
"We will go here for 2 weeks / 2 hours and when we get back we will go do that volunteer thing.."
One side cannot hog the wheel too long or something is going to break.

I hope something in here helps.

Last, the 7th house Saturn.
It is being transited by Neptune.
I wrote about that, right?
I remember now that I did.
This is going to stir you pot, and I mean that literally because N Neptune (the stage) is in the 4th house / Cancer, Moon, stomach..

It is melting your fear and your need to control, I promise that is what is happening.
(this is why you leave relationships first obviously - so that you avoid the pain of being left)
You hang in because I GUARANTEE that post this transit (time in your life) you will never injure yourself (or others) because of your fear in partnerships again. Know why? You are not going to have FEAR. You are going to have wisdom there instead. You will not be able to find FEAR there again for love or money.

Now that mimigigi it is worth it - because you have an 8th house Jupiter which means A LONG LIFE.
My point here is that you are not suffering long for short reward. (talking to the practical Moon here)
You will be served by this time in your life for many many decades, and you will absolutely without a shred of doubt look back from a future vantage point and be able to say "oh yeah... that was the year the chip on my shoulder dissolved" and mimigigi this is a permanent fix.

The problem you are having is that you are on a ride for which you would never voluntarily buy a ticket.

You are a control freak (do not mean that negative) being wholly Cardinal (Sun, Moon, ascendent, Venus in Cardinal signs) and so this is why you would not buy this ticket.

However the universe has kindly paid your fare so have the adventure and report back to us what it is like to be wise in relationship instead of afraid. You very likely have some 40 + more years to live. Go through this now, and 40 years you will benefit.
I say that is an offer you can't refuse.

oh yeah..
all the health stuff.

You have Uranus (planet of crazy rebellion) square your Sun Venus in taurus and so as a matter of fact you REBEL against Taurus which is pretty much as you just described. :0

There is more, I am going to write when I can get my TAURUS baby down for a nap.

Okay plsmith - your Jupiter in Virgo in the 6th house (chatty planet, chatty sign, chatty house) is TRINING (means constantly feeding) chatty planet Mercury in the 1st house (me) and they you go. So, let's do it.
Let's chat about YOU!
Do you mind if I laugh while I'm at it?

Okay - your Taur sun goes out and gets stuff for yourself, stuff you love.
Mine, Me, Lovely stuff, and so it goes ..

BUT.. Uranus, Pluto, Neptune AND Jupiter have something to say about this and so as diligent as taur may be in procuring stuff for SELF - the bull is bound by fate to have this activity disrupted, and one can only wonder who gets there first to wreck Taur's day.

Is it Uranus in the 4th house (home) that wants and needs a change (Taurus dirty word) and so gives everything Taurus has collected away to either the Salvation Army (humanitarian Uranus) or family members (4th house)?

Is it Pluto (Scorpio) in the 5th house (Leo) who wants to purge, or perhaps feels it would make them look good (Leo) to give generously?

Is it Neptune who finds God in the partner, and sacrifices "me" and the "mine" in a (hi to dcj) "quest for redemption?"

Or, is it generous Jupiter in Virgo do-gooder sign and house that just MUST donate Taur's stuff?

Now, this is the burning question, and once one of these outer planet energies wreck Taur, how many minutes is it before she (Venus / Taurus is a she) begins again trying to establish security via ownership??

Now.. pullllease don't take this is as critisicm.
It is a sketch of how life goes for you, and it is funny isn't it?

Here is more fun.

Your Taurus (Sun, Mercury and Venus) are Venus ruled (love, peace, comfort) but some joker (was that you?) stuck them in the Aries house and guess what Aries likes to do?

That's right.

He likes to FIGHT.

I read an astro cartoon many years ago - " astro headlines " and one of them was

"Aries rabbit kills two hunters!"

Now,. I happened to be in the back seat (Leo Venus hates that) in my sister and her husbands car (the pisces and the scorpio again, although she has had many husbands )
Anyway, he has a Aries rising and we started calling him "bunny" as we were driving around and he was getting really pissed off. It was fun to do and to watch because Scorpio hides emotion where Aries cannot and so he was struggling to control while we were saying nauseous stuff like "turn left bunny" and obviously you can see from this just how sick my family is... but I do remind you that we are entertaining in equal measure.

Anyway..
This is another quandary for you and why I started with your Moon first.
See, it is truly a gift, because regardless of which bell is going off (what you have is called a T-SQUARE) your Moon is out of this loop and so you get to FEEL good, even if your life is ridiculous with all it's purposes crossed.

Anither conflict with Aries Taurus is Aries wants to go Go GO and Taurs wants to rest, rest , reat.
It is a Taurus who said "why stand when you can sit, and why sit when you can lie down?"

As for tranists, you are in very good shape, and this is because you have just been through it all.
Now I am back to the Wizard of Oz again, and you know how they get to Oz and they get all spit-shined.. polished, coffied? This is what you are now.
You may be aware of this, or the awareness may still be coming - but truly you are just out of the shop and ready to roll for a long run. You are FABULOUS. You have arrived.
