Good evening VeryModern.Must be the full moon after all,Im chatting and beating the war drums again. Have people lost their passion? Not sex,Just passion for life,What happened?Where did it go? No one is really raiseing hell when they get shafted,Or ripped off,It seems like most just shrug it off.
Example,Started a thread on the ebay outlook about a dealer getting bounced off ,one of the chat rooms. It was wrong,How it came down.Instead of correcting the problem, ebay will ignore it as they do with any of the sellers. The sellers dont count,They(ebay)wants their money,But it doesnt matter what the sellers want and could care
Less what they think. I don't know the lady,(dnf)And would even battle side by side with a known enemy if they were done wrong. The passion has to come back,,,One day we may have to fight to keep our country. If this is stellar,It has been awhile,The giant sleeps.
On a lighter note,I just had a great big cup of hot cocoa.

Good morning junque - nice FLUFFY touch at the end of your post there, and a great question.
I think that people are at the moment people are in a bit of limbo, but they have not lost their passion. Thing is they have been passionate for things you are not.
This goes back to the May line up in Taurus (venus).
For many years this conjunction was forming and the people have reflected it with their passion directed at Taurean things (as opposed to Scorpio which you have a mother lode of, and the 11th house (Aquarius).
See why you are out of sync?
Not that you did not fall prey, because we all did to some extent.
Okay - so what is Taurean?
Like I said before - collecting! Taurus likes their stuff! They complain about how much is costs and then they buy it.
I was dating a Taurus once and he was complaining about how much his clothes cost. He would only buy the best of course and so he tells me of his experience in the clothing store. About how fine the shirts, and how they cost $x which was outrageous, but he bought 5 of them. He adds that the belts were even worse - they cost $x and he bought a brown and a black.
Okay - so they are the natural collector of the zodiac, and as all these planets lined up in Taurus we have all behaved this way.
Think Beanie babies - but it covers *everything*.
People WERE crazed and passionate for stuff. They bought and bought and bought and bought because Taurus is a FIXED sign, prone to addiction for their appetites!
This is not the only arena.
ISO beauty?
Surgery.
Lipo! OHMIGAWD they even got Sigorney Weaver under the knife! This was a sad day for me.
Turn on the TV and everyone has a stretched face. It is painful to witness! Collagen in lips. Hipless women. Huge oversized breasts everywhere you turn. This is vanity overload, and this is what the collective has been passionate for.
What else?
Taurus likes MONEY.
Taurus is greedy! Ask them. They want the biggest piece of cake. They can't help themselves.
BIG cars
Fat Cigars
Rich Coffee
Lavish, lavish, lavish!
Posh, posh, posh!
and..
SPEND SPEND SPEND
BUY BUY BUY
Okay junque so this period has passed.
We not see anything like it again in our lifetimes.
The universe is in the process of straightening it all out.

Libra's are in great shape in the sky right now

Ahem...
I am a Taurus that values nature above all other things.
And a nice cashmere (or pashmina) sweater or you should see this full length black cashmere coat (that I got for $99.00 in June, normally $900.00)Gorgeous!
But I digress...I have debt, no money. Has to do with when I left Tiburon and was forced to get rid of ALL my preciuos belongings that I worked SO HARD for. The whole time I was living in Marin, I was sans car (4 years or more, total) I took public tranpi everyhwere or wlked. I worked full time in Mill Valley and with what was left over in my pay check I bought a plant or some piece of furniture for my home. I would take it all with me on the bus and hike it up the hill to my house. But when I left, it all went into this gargantuan horrifying San Rafeal land fill giant hole....I'd rather not think about it.
I would cover my entire existence up in nothing but flowering ( mostly pastels, no jagged edged flowers) plants and grow tomatos and egg plant. Have some goats, a burro, and chickens, LOVE chickens. If I could get an owl or 2 to hang around my property, I would be overwhelmed with joy!! No sh*t!
As to plastic surgery...if I could, I would perhaps get a boob lift (not implants) cuz they have headed way too far south for no apparent reason and ...I resent it!
Of course, I am only one Taurus, and you were not referring to me anyway, right

Eve - I am talking about PURE TAURUS and a stack of planets "collecting" there.
You are an individual and your Taur Sun and Moon are modified by whatever aspects - in your case, an opposition from Neptune.
That aside - you still sound VERY Taur to me.
With you tactile pashmina, and top of the line coat you refer to as well as quoting the price paid which is totally Taurean.
FURNITURE is utterly Taurus (it is stationary!) as well has hauling it on your back (it is always Taur who helps people move - and furniture is their SPECIALITY!
Criminy, you are strong as a bull, who else is going to move furniture?
Gemini?
Yeah right. (they are laughing right now at the thought)
Further, the flowering plants are Taurus beauty, and possessions as well, most definitely. You may want to do the nurture thing with the Taurus in the 4th / Cancer house, but your are an excellent example of Taurus and no surprise since your Sun and Moon are placed there!
I have a Taur pal who cuts her hair with one of those vacuum job hair machines. Very happy with the money she saves. My Leo Venus cringes.
My husband buys those cheap garbage watches the credit card companies sell with inserts in your bill. Then he runs around telling everyone his watch cost $3.99 and is only a little "cheap". He also gives them to people (not me thank God)

Oh yeah, and since it is being discussed on another thread - the tattoo and pierce craze is Uranus through Aquarius SQUARE the line up in Taurus.

I was jus' goofin'...but was serious at the same time...
my reaction to having to get rid of all my stuff was ...to get credit cards for the first time in my life, about a year ago, and run those suckers up...I gues I had decided to re-obtain my stuff the "easy" way.
When I was a little kid, my mind was soooo literal, I thought everyone I saw driving a brand new car had plopped down a huge pile of money for it, and then, of course, OWNED it out-right. Guess what I thought "foothills" were???? And when a man shaved his face, I always wondered how he spared his eyebrows and shaved his nose.

Eve - First thing, is your sister has a Taurus Moon and so T Uranus square is why the shocking pregnancy (and also the technological attempts btw).
She is going to have a difficult pregnancy.
Quite difficult I think, so go easy on her.
I got this thing for pregnant women, I confess. I think people should support them anyway possible. Some women have a harder time than others and your sister most definitely one of them, so easy easy easy on her.
(junque - the astrology - Mercury Sun conjunct in the 12th in Pisces will be sq by T Saturn in Gemini )
~ possible hospitalization here Eve ~
N Saturn is inconjunct the Moon and so any contact from Saturn to the Moon makes pregnancy "hard". This is also why it was hard to achieve in the first place.
Further down the road (2 yr) T Saturn sq Pisces ascendent and enters N 4th house - which is more hard mama / home stuff.
~ go easy Eve ~
ps N Saturn is in Sag in the 9th and so restriction on her moving around is also possible.
~Eve - she will not have a childish bone in her body when she is done with this - she is going to become very serious ~
She has a 5th house N Uranus (5th house = Children) and so her children are shocking, inventive, unexpected , all the other Uranian things.

Eccentric brother - yes Eve.
Aquarius rising - opposed by natal Uranus and an 11th house (Aquarius) Sun in Sag.
He gets away with it too, I bet. Very likeable sort and a grand trine too. He is extra crazy at the moment and will be for another 6-7 years. Like eccentric on steroids. Looks to me like even his bad times are kinda good.

I will support my sister.
What I was trying to convey to you that in my past when I was in horrible emotional crisis, my sister was very incredibly UN supportive.
Example:
When I told her my oldest and closest friend was killed( New Years Day 1990) the very FIRST words out of her mouth were:" I lost my caaaat!!!!"
This is a crappy situation for my emotionally right now...but I will do what I can for my sister. I just found out yesterday about this so she is probably 15 minutes pregnant.

Eve - I was not writing personal to you, or with any judgement
Your sister's chart looks ouchy up ahead, and so that is what I was wanting to convey.

I guess if they already think it's twins, she must be at least 5 or 6 weeks pregnant. That's where I was...
I'm just going to have to find a way to deal with my "baggage" on my own and not let it envelope my whole being, as it were.
Sorry I sounded so defensive, but I am feeling just plain raw.

I used to wear a Patek Phillipe my dad gave me with an abundance of snobby pride...went to have a battery put in it at an equally snobby jewelry shop in Corte Madera and the guy comes back with "so...whose faux Patik Phillipe is this?"
I love getting the freebie gifts in the mail...but I ahem, usually keep them in my sock drawer

I wonder how much they'd get on eBay? I mean as long as they're free AND genuine imitation chrome....

VeryModern, this is the most entertaining thread I've read in ages. Are you burned out yet or would you be willing to look at my chart? (I'll warn ya up front that I'm another Taurus, heh... HI JUNQUE! )
posted on January 10, 2001 07:39:57 PM new
plsmith - thanks, that is very satisfying to hear.
I do not burn out, I regenerate, especially when it comes to astrology but thanks for asking.
I love this space junk, can you tell?
mybiddness - I am surprised people aren't sending me links to their auctions so he can shop 'em! He says that they keep time for about a year and "that's pretty good for a free watch."
I roll my eyes but he is unfazed, and this cracks me up.
You ought to see the gal with the vacuum haircut whatchamacallit though..
She says "18.95, and I'll never have to pay for a haircut again!"
She is very cool (Hiya Annie ). Best of the best.
I was laughing till I cried because she was SERIOUS and she went on and on.
She was doing her own hair, then the neighbor's then the dog I think - all with this handy little unit she bought as an investment. She thought the dog's hair may burn the motor and this concerned her if I recall this right. I had coffee coming out my nose, so I might have missed something.
5 years later (she lives out of town) she was over and I just had to ask...
"are you still cutting your hair with that machine?"
Yep!
LMAO
I adore Taurus, when I get a chance I will write about their food.
The main thing is if you are eating out with one of them and you order and they order and the food comes and yours looks like it might taste better than theirs, they get pissed off.
They won't say anything of course, but you can just tell.
I always just trade plates (unless I am pissed off and want to torture) and you can see them visibly relieved, and they become very chatty all the sudden - this is to conceal their greed
On this note - Scorpio..
When you eat with them, they want their back to the wall or they are intensely uncomfortable. I usually allow that to, but again, if I am pissed off - I take the seat that I know they want and watch them squirm.
I am not really that nice, am I?
edit bad writing..
hey, it's not like I don't know, I just don't bother (usually)

VeryModern, I am curious. Earlier you mentioned that someone's chart was very pretty - two trines and a kite, or something like that (senior moment here). I pulled up my own on the site you linked, and I have a shape on mine that looks like a classic two-stick-and-newspaper kite. I'd be curious about the basics of my own chart, if you wouldn't mind looking.

I have two Taurus children. I can relate to the food thing - threatened to buy a second refrigerator just to keep my son fed. lol

ROFLMAO!
VM, just curious... I've been re-reading your writings here and I'm trying to figure out... if a person is born with a certain nature caused by their date/time of birth... what happens if that person completely tries to dismantle the natural tendancies that they've been born with. IOW, do those inborn tendancies/inclinations ALWAYS find a way of seeping through anyway - maybe just manifesting themselves in a different way.
Or, is that why the looney bins are full - people trying to conform to who/what they aren't? I hope that question makes sense... it does in my little mind.

Info is on its way, VeryModern, and THANKS!
Now I have to tell you that the bit above about the Flow-Bee haircutting system had me on the floor. Like your friend, I, too, saw the "practicality" of that contraption when it first came out but did NOT buy one, having reasoned ultimately that I could cut my own hair much better with the household scissors I already owned and thus save $18.95, hahaha!
Looking forward to reading more...

Okay - he begs to differ.
He says he cut *almost* half the cake.
He goes on to describe details -- double decker and what not.
See Taurus does not forget their food.
Chocolate Cake w/ chocolate frosting he says.
I still say this proves my point - see they are embarrassed of their own greed.
Now, while he is at it, he wishes to also cop to another food thing.
Once when our daughter (Gem) was eating the shrimp (only) off his plate when she was 3, he became possessive and HID one from her. In the rice apparently - he says he covered it over..
My husband is raised Irish Catholic and so I think this may be a confession.

LMAO here, you guys kill me! I am going to write in the morning - and tonight, go to bed feeling great. My husband too, unburdened as he is.
Meantime, I invite all Tauri to tell tales of their food greed and/or how much money they spent or did not spend on various "items".
