I work in Escondido also! Wouldn't want to live there though. What a small world!

Hi Maui,
Here's a good link to my part of the world.

There's nothing here much over an hour away from where I am.

Tis lovely bitsandbobs. Some day, before I get too haggly-gaggly, I will come to Australia. Wanna do it before I have to use a cane and cant enjoy exploration. Right now, Im struggling just to get to Maui, which I havent been to in over a year, for which I am going thru withdrawals

Malady...Wow...we'll have to meet up for lunch one day! I moved out of Escondido two years ago when my son started school. I despise the school district. We moved over to San Marcos and just love it!

If you get a chance, e-mail me at [email protected].

I finally went and picked up my pictures, so now I have a couple to share! The first one is my infamous pecan tree. Sorry, it looks kinda ugly in the winter with no leaves The second is my ever prolific lemon tree. Want some lemons??

Not my regular view (which is extremely boring), but a place I can't wait to go back to...

I love the set of footprints in the snow katzname! What a difference between the snow and a green lemon tree huh? Wanna trade?? Before you answer that, remember it gets over 115 in the summer here...

This is the view from our front porch. We live on a lake. Frankly, I'd rather have Mauimood's view. But for Ohio, it's not bad.

Here were the guys coming yesterday to shovel the snow off our roof and bust off the big ice dam that would have taken our power out when it busted. They already busted some of the ice off that was doen to knee level fron the second story. A lot of the gutter and overhang were damaged.

Gravid: When I was 10 I got hit in the head with a huge icicle, trying to knock it down. I had to get stitches and everything. Looking at your picture gives me chills up my spine. I never got over that incident! My advice, don't go outside!!

Yeah when the crew got here one young fellow went over and stood right under that main mass and broke off a few of the longer ones that went down knee hoigh. I told him one of our friends did that when he was about 8 years old and the whole thing came down on him. It busted his knee open so bad the bones were sticking out when the medics came for him. He has a limp and scars forever. We had another fellow near here, 63 years old, fall off the roof of his daughters home yesterday while shoveling snow off the roof and die. Whe we have been up north on the Kewanaue peninsula that juts out into lake Superior we noticed that they have trap doors on the roof to get out in the winter. Sometimes the snow gets up to the roof line.

This is where I grew up, my parents farm in southern Alberta. The background of the photo actually shows part of the golf course for the neighbouring town of Brooks. It's very flat where I grew up...
