another thing.
does anyone remember the name of that Taurus gal from the last thread? The one selling jewelry who had her pic on her ME page.
I would like to invite her here.
I may be able to hunt her down in my old email, if anyone has a hint it would help.
Of course if I would enter something besides "Leggy Taurus Chick in Dress" when I put birth data in my software, it would go a long way towards solving problems like this.
Thanks for any help.
toke - yep - I did find you. Right there under "toke".
Sometimes I do okay.
edit to add - Never mind! Got it! Eve. I will look for her.

I know it's there - would just feel more comfortable if there's something in my chart to concrete it a little for me. Very scary stuff... I'm on a bullet train and I can't get off. I swear I'll send the right info this time.

Thank you VeryModern. No, I'm not spooked. I don't remember my mother, just flashes and glimpses rather than memories, and even those I'm not sure how much are a result of what others have told me about her. Mostly when I think of her I feel sadness, for her loss and my loss. She was barely 33 years old when she died. You know, as a little girl, and growing up I dreamed of someday having a little girl, I guess to have that mother/daughter relationship that I missed out on. I have my little girl, and she is the spitting image of my mother, yet she is wholly herself and I consider myself very lucky indeed. Yes, life is cycles, isn't it? You miss one, but the opportunity for the next one comes around again. Thank you once again. You're wonderful!

Bingo junque!
Thanks!
Oh. And it was Even59 I was wanting to page. I have posted her, so we will see if she shows.

VeryModern,I was going to ask you which sign had the most stubborness Cap.or Taurus.
But having watched the Capricorn sister and her Taurus daughter, take ground,On an argument,The Taurus wins,The Cap wears out.Ah but in that Caps younger day,She could melt the paint off the side of the house.(hissyfit)They are fun to watch.

I have to agree - taurus. No contest.
I have flat out told my Taur husband that I am weary because I have to beat him on the head for 1 year before a dent even begins to form.
Ever try to turn a bull in a new direction?
Think about it.
Go find a bull in a field and try to turn them around. This is exhaustive work. You gotta be just plain stupid to try.
Cap is motivated by money, prestige, and the promise of security. Taurus is very hard to manipulate that is why the Scorpios fall prey at times.

VeryModern,I have to tell you this.1996 I found my perfect attorney to handle diverse
Happenings in my life. One call does all guy.To save me money,He ask me to fill out some forms and he would coach me over the phone. This was a lot of paperwork, when I faxed him the finished forms,He faxed me back
clean forms to do over. This happened 7 times in one day.I was ready to choke him,Yet I knew he wanted the paperwork to be perfect.
He was getting mad at me around the 7th batch of copys. All of a sudden we didnt know each other. My paperwork would make him look bad or not having the clients best interest at hand.Next day we apologized to each other.
I ask him if he was a virgo,And said yes. Then he made me do the paperwork over 5
more times. He considers me a friend,And vice versa.

Hi Eve, good to see you!
junque that's a great story - how Virgo and Sag square off. Also how Virgos make other people look good and how Sag knows the truth. Note that you said "perfect" when talking about a Virgo (the quintessential Virgo word) and also that he is trying to save you money by being a PITA IOW he is "helping" you. Virgo at your service, but better brace yourself.
I like the stories - this is the best way to learn astrology, don't you think? No math
Here is a quickie - my daughter the Gemini was about 3 she used to answer every question she was asked with a quick "yes, no". She gave both answers. Not that she is talking out both sides of her mouth or anything. She also started the Gemini shorthand language thing about the same time. It is too tedious for her to say "cookie", so it is was "cook", and movies are "moves", medicine was med and we made trips to the "groc", and the "libe". She eats brek and din and our whole family talks like this now because it rubbed off. She started calling me "mom dom som" like some Chinese food. She still does this. Gem linguistic gifts. "Can I have that, Mom dom som who swims in the pond?". This is what she says in Target and what not. I gotta admit, it is entertaining. She has also discovered that the TV has a Spanish setting. She says it would be fun to watch in Spanish, and all I can think is "fun for who?"
I will get to these other charts today sometime probably. I also think I know the answer to toke's question but I have to get a chance to write.

Hi, and Good Morning all!
A quick ? for VM.
Since we discovered that my chart I had done in '94 was inaccurate to the tune of not getting my rising sign correct, does that mean I no longer have a Grand Trine and a kite? I read in earlier posts that you pronounced someone er other as the first Grand Trine on this thread...I'm not sure what the kite is about but I was counting on that Grand Trine! ANND I'm not sure what it's purpose is either but it's GRAND!

Yep Eve, you still have a "kite" which includes a grand trine.
A Kite is like a Grand Trine with a bell and a whistle.

My daughter's a Gemini - Maybe that explains why she cut down her three syllable name to a one syllable bite - I always thought of her renaming of things as a creative quirk. She goes out of her way to shade the truth in a way that she knows I will like it. I think that's a very nice way for me to say that she lies. She's been a fabulous kid - but if I ask how the shirt got ruined - she won't say that she washed it on the wrong setting - nope, she just says that she thinks she washed it on the right setting - darned manufacturers fault. Little stuff like that - but it makes me nuts.
I've also got the Virgo husband. He's been a tough one to crack (break). Everything is perfection or not at all. He's also chronically late. If he thinks he might get somewhere on time, he'll stall til he's sure were late. I swear I think he does it on purpose.
Hi even59 Glad to see you were tracked down! Grand Trine with bells and whistles? Sounds like fun to me!

Mom dom som who swims in the pond
interpreting stars pour le monde, tout le monde,
Can you tell me the meaning, the truth and the why
of what lies before me and what's passed me by?
Can you brush off the cobwebs from dreams I once dreamed?
Will you tell me that life wasn't quite as it seemed?
Can you forecast a time where I'll glow in the sun,
having woven those millions of strands into one,
and hand me that fortune all packaged with dates
aligned with the heavens and blessed by the Fates?
Mom dom som, swimming free in the pond
smiles soft with sadness but nonetheless fond,
She floats to the edge, and she offers her hand
pulls me into the water and off of time's sand
and floating beside her, adrift with the moon
she shows me that fortune's not just what is soon
but an ongoing happening: past, future, now -
interwoven with love by the One who knows how...
She rises with grace and she plucks me a star
and says "You have been, you will be and you are
what you let yourself be when you let go of fear -
see - the planets' alignment is splendidly clear!"
She assures me I have all the tools that I need
that the moment has blossomed for planting the seed...
then, eyes dark with moonglow and soft with starlight
mom dom som swims away in the night.
And I'm left on the shore with the star in my hand,
On the hourglass shore, counting time with its sand.
As the sky melts with purples awaiting the sun,
I've the sense that the long-halted journey's begun -
for so it was written, so shall it be done.

This message is from the "pasture" where VM's husband is usually found with some minor dents and is on this thread today to express his gratitude to Joe for her "momdomsom" piece...
It is gratifying to VM's husband that VM is appreciated on this "internet thing"..
When I return from work at night to my "pasture" I am shown all the posts that are written during the day and you all seem like nice people...

Joe - dcj thank you profoundly for the poem.
My husband will have it printed and framed, you have given us a treasure we will cherish.
I am moved beyond words. Really, really, really, I am.
I am lifted up sky high.

This is the first time ever that I've called in my family to read something on these boards. I made everyone sit down and soak it in for full effect. You've such a gift... we were all stunned with the beauty of your message. And VM even framed it! Cool!!!!!

That was just remarkable poem! I can generate really weird Haiku once in awhile...and limericks, cuz I'm terribly high-brow!
I checked out my brother Paul, brother John T, sister Heather, and my Moms charts on astrodienst, all I can see for sure is... they are completely different than me!
Astrodienst didn't recognize my Mom's city of birth so I had to enter the "big" city of Cripple Creek as her birth place, she was actually born in Victor CO, and would resent being connected in any way to Cripple Creek!
I didn't enter my brother Davids data cuz I still carry a resentment against him for being a total bastard to me whrn I was a tiny kid.

Diana, that is the most beautiful poem I've ever read. And that is something coming from this hard heart. And I see that I am not the only one here that feels it was written for each of us personally. Thank you.

VeryModern,When I read the horoscope books on personalitys(too lazy for the config.s)And read psychology books,I found the two can interlude together. On a ship,And no where to hide from abrasive personalitys,I had to play
to their rules(if authority figure)And could find an even keel to ride out the rest of the storm.Kinda my own study but it worked for me real well. Some of the people I worked with or
Under,Looked for small details,And or jabs at their egos to instigate a conflict. Most of the sailers(easy job at sea)Were Sags.Scorpios,Gemini,Libra,Aquarius,Leos,
Taurus.
The ones who had the hardest time being cooped up and away from home,The Pieces,Cancer,Tauris,And some Leos not in a high ranking.I only found one truely miserable Gemini out there.A Captain,One side got him in trouble, with the higher ups at the office. The other side of him, didnt know why he was on the office poop list.(slow promotion.)He had a jeckle&hyde going on.Yell and scream at people all day long,And then stunned, no one wanted to hang out with him when we went to shore.

I keep coming back in here to re-read the poem. The wonder of it to me is that it speaks to VM - and as she says "lifts her up sky high" - but it speaks to all of our hearts and we can't help but latch on for the ride... still stunned... I have to go vacuum now. sigh

okay - for the record - that was my husbands inaugural post to a chat board. He signed on the Internet some years ago, found me week one and has not signed on since.
Also, he is not going to "print" the poem as in print on the ol HP.
He is a graphic artist in the printing biz, and so he will do what he does (and he is good at what he does) and dcj's poem will get super star treatment. He will have it professionally printed and then probably paint or whatever he does on or around, bottom line is that it's going up on the wall for the rest of my life, because it is a gift of the likes I have never received. (thank you)
mybiddness - you are in my hopper.
Potato - I am slightly stumped on your chart at the moment. There is a bunch of sexy sex all over it and I either have to wait for supreme inspiration as to how to articulate or be a bother to the moderator.
Best idea yet may be to just tip my hat at it and then find somewhere else to start.
I am looking.
