Angel food cake with 7 minute frosting!

Really, I just wanted to go to the post office and the grocery store and I wanted to bring a "fluff" thread to the top before I left!

Hi Julesy,

Marshall Field & Co's frango mint pie was/is
a chocolate & mint confection. I read in the past couple years that they were either going to quit making or had already quit making frango mint candies. I hope not!
LabRat4

Did someone mention german chocolate cake with coconut frosting and a seven-minute
icing. Ohhhhhh......

FYI- The Bon Marche [in Seattle, I don't know where else they have stores]bought the rights to Frangos and sell them all year. Got some for Christmas myself and I don't even like them!

Frigor, a chocolate bar made by Nestle, only problem is you can only buy it in Switzerland. If you like chocolate, it doesn't get any better than Frigor.

senk-onnanoko-san, meaning enchanted-girl-san, in Japanese:

Yes, that candy would be called a type of Dagashi. Many inexpensive, more common candys are considered a type of Dagashi. The stores, Dagashiya, have hundreds of varieties.

It always brings childhood joy to go into a Dagashiya.

Thank you.

Thank YOU wataru, that is the first time in my life some one has called me enchanted-girl-san and it sounds wonderful. I will now gladly borrow that phrase senk-onnanoko-san for my signature line.

It has been a pleasure to meet and talk with you here at AW, Wataru-san.

have a great day.

The expression Sweet Jesus! comes to mind frequently but it's not really my absolute favorite.

Pick one??? I don't think so. I don't do sweets often but when I do it has to be one of these.

Cadbury Raisin and Almond choclate bar. Toblerone. Angel food cake with strawberries and vanilla ice cream. Banana split no marshmallow goop extra almonds. Rocky road ice cream with warmed seedless rasberry jelly.

I had the BEST Christmas treat this year, and I am counting the days until I can buy them again...

Williams-Sonoma had a peppermint bark that was SOOSOOO good! It was also SOOSOOO expensive! I could not believe how much they were charging ($18.00 a tin), and it pains me to say this but it was worth it! White chocolate, dark chocolate (layered) with peppermint flavoring and crushed candy canes on top.

YUMMMMM

((357 days and counting!))

Watson's Milk Chocolate sponge candy. They are made about 45 minutes from where I live and I go there sometimes just to get a box of their sponge candy.
