Is there a way to change the default of your paypal payments to be credit card instead of bank account?
I do not wish to have payments through my bank account; i usually change it to credit card, but once or twice a year i forget to press the button and it comes out of my checking account. Is there a way to change it?

There is no way to change it and this is on purpose. When you use a credit card 1) paypal has to pay a fee and 2) you may have the ability to charge back your purchase even if paypal doesn't agree. Naturally, they would prefer that this does not happen, so they make it harder for you.

It also gives paypal free reign on your bank account. If I were you, I would close that account and open a new one and don't let PayPal take withdrawals from it. Or now that I think about it, I believe if you contact your bank and tell them that PayPal is not authorized to take money out of you account, they will block it.
