I want to say that I am impressed that Paypal has integrated shipping into its service along with the guarantee of seller protection if you use it. There is a limit (transactons under $250.00 I think) but it is great step forward for the service adding protection for small sellers. Just wanted to offer some postive feedback.

Since most sellers have shipping and Handling, and not just shipping, we will see how it works

I for one would love to see Paypal do something to help real customers or stop mail fraud.

I don't know about everyone but when I hear Paypal and their claims like what you said.

"with the guarantee of seller protection if you use it. "

To me, that's nothing more then a joke.

Seller’s protection?

Yea. what ever. Sort of like this claim from Paypal's terms of use

"PayPal will investigate your claim, contact the seller and, if the seller does not present appropriate proof of shipment, a full refund or other evidence of a satisfactory resolution, "

What a bunch of lies. Paypal does not really investigate the claim. Damon said so himself.

Like in my case. Paypal did not investigate ANYTHING. I offered them "appropriate" proof of shipping like the terms of use says and I offered them "other evidence of a satisfactory resolution" like the terms of use says but for some reason Paypal did not feel like following their own terms of use and allowed this buyer

Praise : great item, everything included as listed nice doin business with u

Their money back because I could not prove that the address they gave me, which I shipped to, and the item was received at, was the same address as the "hidden Confirmed address" on the account.

Paypal does not even follow it's own terms of use. So you have no guarantee that will ever do anything like they claim.

So Paypal allowed the buyer to remove their confirmed address off the payment and then request their funds back after they got the item.

That is mail fraud as the item was shipped USPS and I have a confirmation and tracking number that says it was shipped and received. And a USPS mail fraud investigation that says the buyer paid me with Paypal funds and then reversed payment after they got the item.

Come on Paypal. Why don't you do something like follow your own rules and stop fraud when offered solid evidence of wrong doing.

Paypal let their account be used to attempt commit mail fraud against me and Paypal never helped or stopped them. Paypal helped them by reversing the payment after the buyer got the item.

Some guarantee. All I see is a guarantee nightmare or real bad service.

I had a rather major problem with Paypal and they finally resolved it without a problem. The thing you need to do is keep at it. If you know that you are right then complain to various government agencies available to you. They will respond if you allow them to forward your complaint with your indentifying information. How much money do you have held up?
