I stupidly overdrew with PP debit card $16. I transferred $ from the source (bank) account to cover it (takes 3-4 days to process to Paypal). Once the transfer kicks in, will I be OK with Paypal account? Nothing has been locked or frozen. I just want to know.

Thanks

stopwhining,

No, I don't know. I immediately put in funds to cover it and am not using my Paypal account or card until I know everything is ok. I was hoping for a little reassurance from damon or someone who did the same dumb thing.

Some companies do not turn in your "charge" right away. But of you pay an auction thru PP, it will come out of your account immediately or draw from your checking account.

I'm not sure I can explain this well....

There was enough money in the account until the companies juggled their dates. When you pay through PP, they draw from your PP acct (or if zeroed out)your checking account. When you pay with debit card (and Paypal is zeroed out) it doesn't draw from your checking account, it just sits pending.

Theoretically, this should all time out by tomorrow, and I will have learned a lesson in debit cards. If everything had come out of my PP acct when I put it through, I wouldn't have any problem.

NOTE: I was under the mistaken impression that all charges made with the PP card showed up on my statement immediately just like paying for an auction. The delay in the b & m merchants in turning in the charge is what threw everything out of whack.

Like I said, a HARD learned lesson, but not life threatening.

I'm sure you all knew this, but I didn't.
