Hi skylite,

While this may seem a tad defensive, you are reacting to a chargeback received. This chargeback liability is present (per our terms of use) and it is not an item unique to PayPal.

I can even point out some incorrect information on several services on the sites you listed, as well as show how our terms of use were followed.

I would hope that users take some information posted by relatively anonymous individuals with some level of scrutiny.

In other words "please don't tell people what really goes on at PayPal".
Damon is strictly damage control. He is sent here to discredit former members who have the right to tell their PayPal horror stories.

Hi dealerjim,

No, I am actually here to advise if the terms of use were followed by the customer and the company.

The liability for chargebacks is spelled out in our terms of use, as well as what our Seller Protection Program entails. You would find many "horror" stories do not have full disclosure by the party, nor can they always be verified.

Hi skylite,

Then you would also want to point to the numerous articles on the company by reporters (about our strong anti-fraud efforts), as well as reviews at other web sites.

Selective information is easy to find on any company.

What people should keep in mind is that Damon can't tell the truth about the derrogatory info about PayPal. He would probably get fired and then we would have to listen to Coonr. He is only going to tell you the good things, never the bad.

hello,
I may be puting my nose where it does not belong .But, for the years I have used PAYPAL, I have never YET hade a problem. Perhaps the day that I do is when the lack of customer service will show its ugly head .Just did not want people seeing this thread to think only bad things about paypal.

As the topic of this thread is websites on PayPal, I'd like to refer to the site I have recently set up for the articles I have written on PayPal. I guess Damon won't want to refer to them. The URL of the site is: www.AboutPayPal.org

The sites that have horror stories are getting one sided information because Paypal cannot divulge their side of the story because of confidentiality issues. Rarely does the victim of one of the horror stories step up to the plate to allow Paypal to release all the information.

Buyer Beware of those that tell horror stories but won't let you tell the other side. Maybe I should start a website about them

first you say ... Paypal cannot divulge their side of the story because of confidentiality issues.......and then with the same breath you say the victims are not allowing paypal to release all the info.....thats only if the victims can get the info in the first place......time and time again the victims are demanding all the info from PayPal and PayPal will not tell them the whole truth.....why......and who is the other side...........and how are the victims preventing anyone else from telling their stories.........again people....please remember that we are suppose to intelligent indivuals......but when one does not get all the straight info ...how can one choose properly.........click on the websites i am providing and see for yourself and you make the choose..........as for a website "bestattic"...please do make one...and i would gladly come and see what you got........
