I forgot the somewhat sloppy way of importing on-line inventory items into SM Pro. Also, is the cross-merchandising lost?
Once the inventory has been downloaded into a .csv file, it can be imported using the following steps:
In Sales Manager Pro, go to Tools -> Inventory Importer -> Text File (comma-separated fields.) Find your file, click "Import", and map the fields.
If you find that there are non-matching fields, leave the map field blank. Note that the field titles in the inventory importer do not necessarily match the downloaded inventory title exactly. Also, if you are using Sales Manager Pro, be sure that you detach any images that have been removed online before you download your inventory, as you will receive an error on import if the image attached to your inventory item does not exist online.
Cross merchandising is still available. You can only cross sell items available in your Vendio store as fixed price purchases which is why it has to be done online.

I didn't phrase my question correctly.
I compose an auction on-line with cross merchandising then move it to SM Pro. When the auction is thereafter launched from SM Pro, does the cross-merchandising still exist?
I understand about just applying to the Vendio store. When launched from on-line, the auction still goes through the Ebay site and when the auction is successful, the Vendio software knows to present the pre-selected items to the winner.
So if an item is created in on-line inventory, why couldn't it pass through SM Pro and still be recognized at checkout re the cross-m?
In any event, if cross merchandising isn't available in any form from SM Pro, is the customer still presented with four selected alternatives (sans discount) when they checkout?
I just found another huge difference between SM Pro and on-line. SM Pro will accept any number of photos. I tested one auction (I am using the "Globe" template) and put 16 photos up.
This is a huge advantage to me because I am graphics heavy and can now cut way down on the size of my auctions.
So now I am going back to SM Pro. (I feel like a handball.)
