This offer isn't totally free. By applying for this savings bond, you are entering into a trial membership of essentials.com, and it appears that the price of the yearly membership will be charged to a charge card (not sure when, but you do get a "welcome" kit).

Of course, you can cancel the membership but just wanted everyone to be aware of this clause.
