Do any of you play computer games? What are your current favorites, and did Santa bring any to you?

Hubby likes Tomb Raider and Drakkan, but is now playing MidTown Madness 2 cuz Santa brought it for him, and on of the kids got him the newest Tomb Raider. I like puzzle type games, and just started Riddle of the Sphinx which is not bad. We both like MYST, but I never did finish Riven.

I like Obsedian alot too, it was kind of twisted.

Been playing games on the PC for the last 20 years. First RPG game I played was the pre-cursor to Ultima 1 on a Apple II. Back in 1981.

On the PC, I mostly like the RPGs (Might and Magic, Wizzards and Warriors, Nox.) I also like Diablo and Diablo II, but prefer not to go only line. I like palying them alone. The games are more of a stress relief and I don't need the hassle of trying to work with other people.

On the Playstation, I really like Crash (1, 2, 3, and racing) and the Spryo series.

I got a Playstation 2 for christmas and am currently playing Ever Grace, not too bad for a RPG, but a little tedious to get enough money.

I've got Jeopardy, which I got last Christmas, and Scrabble which I got this Christmas. Both of them are pretty darn addicting, especially Scrabble.

femme...the Hasbro Scrabble CD game is great because you can choose up to 3 computer opponents, as well as 6 different levels of play.

I was a tester for Pong at Atari. I have played just about everything up till 5 years ago when I quit playing games except Bridge.

I like "7th Guest," "11th Hour," "Myst," and "Riven."

Just got a British game called "Seven Games of the Soul" ("Faust" over there) that is along the lines of "7th Guest"--or I think it will be...I can't seem to get the hang of the first part & may have to break down & buy a cheat book.

Air Warrior! That was the most addictive game I've played. Imagine several hundred men online fighting in WW2 aircraft for 3 different countries. Wives should never let their husbands try this game. My wife learned to hate it with a passion, watching me bob and weave and curse my opponent for hours on end. Access was $9.95 a month, but the wear and tear on a marriage was much higher.

In a Fokker D9 I was a deadly opponent till my wife pulled my pilot's license.

The last time I played a computer game was when I was in labor with my 18 year old. I can still remember playing pac man and having to set the control down every time a contraction hit... maybe that's why I've never picked them back up again.

Not paranoid anywhere else but here!

I don't play much with games, but got a copy of 1602 AD recently. The most addictive thing I have ever seen. You settle islands and do battle with the computer over other islands in the chain. You build crops to feed your people, houses etc. etc. Quite fun and I cannot tear myself away from it lately.

mybiddness: 18 year-old!?! I expect to find you in the Guinness Book of World Records. The pain must have been unimaginable... I would have demanded a Caesarian!

bunnicula, don't pay for a cheat book. Do a search online, there are almost always hints and walk throughs to be found.

This new one hubby and I are playing called Riddle of the Sphinx is pretty good. We are not playing together, each of us has separate games going. He came to bed late last night and blamed it on the game.

It was only $15 at Best Buy. I sell some of them on eBay when we're done with them, if we won't be playing them again.

femme Go to flipside.com. They have a game called WORDOX that's just like Scrabble, and you play against other people (from all around the world.)
You'll see WORDOX in the top 10 list on the right side of the page. When you click on it you have a choice of the quick games, or Hoyle. I prefer Hoyle.

As for me, I am a vidiot. I get so addicted to games I have to stay away, or I get NOTHING done, no housework, eBay listing, NOTHING. I prefer RPG's, own every Zelda game there is, and have 5 units (The PC, Super Nintendo, N64, Playstation and Gameboy)I loved Myst, the Final Fantasy series, Lunar 2 Silver Star Story, and any other RPG that is made well and has a decent plot. Legend of Legia for Playstation was wonderful! I could go on and on and on. (Why didn't I ever think of starting a thread on this subject?)
