"Bush has named the lawyer that represented him when he needed to get out of jury duty in a Travis County DWI case to be his counsel in the White House. Al Gonzales was the lawyer who spoke for Bush inside the Travis County Court House in 1997 while Bush was speaking to reporters outside. Inside, Gonzales was telling the judge and the lawyers on both sides that Bush, as Governor, would be unable to serve on the DWI jury, while Bush, outside the court house, was telling reporters that it is every citizen's duty to serve on a jury and he would be proud to do so. In the last week of the campaign we learned that Bush was unwilling to serve as juror because his own DWI conviction would have been exposed, possibly wrecking his chances at a run for the presidency. Since, in 1997 Gonzales said Bush coulden't serve because of his office, rather than his previous DWI conviction that he didn't want to be made public, the prosecutor of the DWI case now has said that Bush,thorough Gonzales, used his office for a personal coverup."

I just read that article krs ,probably from the same web site you got it from. Bush said on CNN that after he made his speech he couldn't sleep too well. Probably staying up late thinking Oh boy I really pulled this off !
There is going to be so much speculation. I also read on that same site, that Bush's grandfather and greatgrandfather were connected to the Nazi and the Third Reich. They claim this is where the Bush fortune started from the 1.5 million they made from the bank that the Nazi's finanaced.
It is hard to believe that none of this came out when the Senior Bush was prez and served in the war and was even shot down.
Fraid their is going to be a lot of dirty laundry coming out....After the republicans impeached Clinton,and all of his dirty linen was aired, I guess turn around will be fair play now in politics.....

Yes, the greatgranddaddy and granddaddy were functionaries in a bank called The Union Banking Corporation in the 30s and 40s which was owned by Nazis who used it to funnel money out of their country. When it closed the doors in 1951 the Bushes received that amount for what?
You must have noticed that the Gore popular vote total lead has reached 538,000. There's a connecting link that lays it out state by state from the state's own sites.

The minute I read the Nazi article to my George he questioned it,and asked why this wasn't brought out when the Senior Bush was President. Bush (Senior) also served in WW Two.
I am glad that Senator Breaux turned him down today for a cabinet post. To me that was a slick move to get a seat in the senate for the republicans. Why did he have to ask a senator for a cabinet post? Bush may want to appear he is moving to the middle but his conservative republicans, the money that elected him, will not let him forget that he now owes them and paybacks are a #*!@!

He's got substance for everything I've asked him about. Email and ask him about that.
The guy seems to spend his time as a political watchdog, NOT only on Bush (though his concentration is there lately), and has virtually hundreds of contributors who send information they've found or opinions that they have. Seems like he's been doing this thing for years and there is a place in the site which lists the complimentary comments by many major news agencies.
He's not afraid to publish stuff that much of the mainstream media won't touch for their own reasons, and he'll retract or correct as needs be.

I do not know how true it is, but I read that the Roman soldier that pierced Jesus' side with the lance, is a direct lineage ancestor of the Bush's.
I also read that the Bush's owned the only solar utility supply when God said, "Let there be light."

Now on the Nazi Bank thing, let's remember that Bush used to head the CIA. And by the same let's remember that it is possible that they did not know the Bank was Nazi controlled.
But why knock the source of the information. I have visited site on several occasions. And I find it informative to the extent of looking at things from a different angle. Unlike many here I don't need Time, Newsweek, and Reutners rubber stamp to make information credible. In fact I know from recent personal experience that it is possible to keep them totally in the dark about things.

Please this bank thing does not make sense in the context of the times. Germany was trying to keep money from leaving the country.
If this bank was involved in moving money out of the country it would have been acting against the interests of the German government. One of the people who lived through that era in Germany told me that was one of the big reasons the Jews were so hated was they protected their savings when the Germans were doing what the government told them was the patriotic thing to do and keeping their money in the toilet paper currency.

The jews were hated in europe long before that.
As to trying to keep money in the country, I hope that the periodic discoveries of new (old) stashes of riches spirited into safekeeping around the world by the German hiercharchy might help you to see that what you believe to be the case was in fact not the case at all.
Nazi Germany was looting all of Europe, and the last place on earth that they would want those riches to be would be in Germany.
Early in the regime they worked to see that the populace, particularly the jewish populace accepted currency for riches but that was only to be able to take the riches, which, of course, they very soon did.
It's doubtful now that all of the bootie will ever be found, or traced.

While I certainly can't disprove any Bush and Nazi connections, I certinaly would be inclined to disbelieve them. This reaks of tabloid sensationalism.
I was taking Political Science 101 in 1980, the year that Ronald Reagan was running for President against Carter (1980). My prof, being one to present both sides of a story, and wanting to show the levels of absurdity to which politics go, brought in official propaganda letters from both the Republican and Democratic parties here in Texas. Envelopes and letterheads were intact, along with postmarks.
Both sides were alleging the same claims regarding the Nazi connection to American political parties as have been reported above. Reagan was linked by one of Nancy's uncles. Carter was linked by some other equally bizarre chain of events. Except for the names and faces, the allegations were nearly identical. I'm really sorry to see this kind of crap still being perpetuated twenty years later.
