I was out finally picking my pecans today before the birds got them all. I'm not even half done and have realized there is no way I will use all of these. Would anyone like me to ship them some? They are pesticide free and delicious (I've already tested a few ). Email me if you're interested: [email protected]

Since I haven't lived here two years yet, we just found out that our pecan trees only bear fruit every other year. Next year though, WATCH OUT. I have 9 trees.
I do have a great pecan recipe book for people who may need new ideas for mountains of pecans.

Oh my, and I'm overwhelmed with just the one tree! Ours bears fruit every year, but on the off year it doesn't produce as much. This must be the good year

Hmmm victoria, a lot of that sounds good! The apple-pecan and pecan cakes sound really good. So does the cookies and tarts!

When I lived in Texas and had three huge Pecan trees I would get my husband to shell them while he watched football on TV. If Dallas was doing badly (which was often) he didn't need the sheller. I did find that it you vacuum seal them and freeze them they keep for a very long time.

I'll start shelling them this p.m.
Can't wait to start Baking once the shelling is done!
Your packaging was Inspired and worked perfectly!

You could make little pecan men and sell them on Ebay!
My husband is living in Austin alone until we can get this house sold and I can move there, too. Hopefully this month. Anyway, everytime he comes home, I send pecans back with him to crack while he watches the games. I wonder if the baggage handlers are curious about those bags of round things-hubby wishes they'd get shipped to the wrong airport!

This is an enthusiastic recommendation for mouseslayer's pecans! They arrived at 10 a.m. on Christmas Day (yes--the P.O. delivered) and they are absolutely delicious. Get some--you won't be sorry. They're fresh and crack easily, and have a taste infinitely superior to what you can buy in a store.
Thanks Lori. Next year I'll be a repeat customer. Adele

Aww gee, now I'm blushing! The pecans have run out for this year, sorry. The birds have abscounded with what was left (and they yelled at me everytime I went out to pick some more!)
But I will certainly give everyone a holler when they're ready next year! In the meantime, anyone want some lemons?? (I've got a few grapefruit too...)
