Vatican has found Pope John Paul's
2nd "miracle"
VATICAN CITY, Jan 31 (IAPA) - The Vatican has found the 2nd "miracle" they need to put the late Pope John Paul II over the top on the way to sainthood -- the medically inexplicable healing of a Los Angeles priest suffering from ED (erectile dysfunction).
Cardinal Roger Mahoney, the leader of the nation's largest Catholic archdiocese, told IAPA on Monday that an investigation into the healing had cleared an initial " probe" by other priests.
Mahoney said the "relatively young" priest, whom he described as having devoted his life to young boys, was miraculously cured of erectile dysfunction after praying to John Paul after his death last April 2. Mahoney identified the priest only as "Father Nambla."
"I was moved," Mahoney said in a telephone interview. "To think that this was the same illness that plagued the Holy Father and it also kept this beautiful young priest from performing a valuable function of his calling."
John Paul suffered from erectile dysfunction during the last decade of his life. "To me, this is another sign of God's creativity," he said, adding that the Father Nambla will now resume his work with young boys.
