All west coasters send me your rain, we are dry and burning or could burn. Ban on burning and fireworks here in Texas, oklahoma area and not expecting any rain I know of so we would appreciate all the west coasters sending their excess on over.

My CA son would love to send some to Texas. They're getting worried about flooding, because of too much rain, in the Delta....also heard the same about Sacramento where one of my Granddaughters live. I remember well when their local bridge flooded out one year and they couldn't even get the kids to school.

So...if they could, I'm sure they would send some your way.

I've also read about your fires...killing some people and destroying many homes. Hope they've got that one put out by now.

It is a good thing he does not have to worry about levees bursting and the government coming to his rescue. I hope he lives near a stadium that is enclosed.

Absolute faith has been shown, consistently, to breed intolerance. And intolerance, history teaches us, again and again, begets violence.

The duty of a patriot in this time and place is to ask questions, to demand answers, to understand where our nation is headed and why. If the answers you get do not suit you, or if they frighten you, or if they anger you, it is your duty as a patriot to dissent. Freedom does not begin with blind acceptance and with a flag. Freedom begins when you say 'No.'

Floods suck but mud slides suck big time. I am thinking this year has really been a weird weather year all around the US and hope that next year brings much better weather for all of us... I hate to see anyone suffer from destruction of weather related catastrophies..

There have been fires all over Texas and Oklahoma and many many homes lost and some deaths too. There were so many fires around Texas and more yesterday and this evening I saw out volunteer fire department heading out the the lake area around my town so don't know what that was all about, didn't have my police radio on. I am not looking forward to tomorrow night cause I just know some dumba$$ is going to set some fireworks off and cause more fires. They are banned but you know how well some-------people listen---NOT!

Linda K hope your family is ok and stays that way.

Thanks irked....I hope the same for you and yours.

I know what you mean about dry brush and fireworks....both on the 4th of July and New Years eve. I'll have my fingers crossed none start any fires.

Last year I doctored sick animals all winter because it started raining in October and didn't stop till March, this year it hasn't rained since August and I'm going broke buying hay because there's no grass left.

Except for the upper panhandle it doesn't look like Tejas is gonna get much out of this one.

I know. Farmers/ranchers depend so much on it either raining or not raining at the appropriate times of year to survive. Not too much, not to little....it's a hard life.

This link shows the west coast and what they're hoping to avoid in the coming couple of weeks.
