I have 5 very expense water goblets.
I would like to list them separately but don't want to get in ebay trouble.
I only want to do this to help with my total transaction number which was what caused me to lose my TRS. I'm about to get my TRS back this month (hoping).
I think I could do them in BIN but I really don't know what to ask for them and want to see where the market will take them.
Any advice.

I sell expensive glassware. I am sorry to say there has been little interest lately. Good luck!

Do you know anything about elegant depression glass?
The glasses I'm talking about is Fostoria 5099/5299.
They are Wisteria and Replacements has them listed for almost $70 each. I know I need to cut that figure in half at least.
I say they are Wisteria but they change from purple to blue. Have you ever seen that?
I really want to list each one starting at $9.99 or $15. and let them go but I guess I can't do that.
TIA if you know the answer about the color.

I've sold some depression glass in the past, but am not an expert & at the time, could let the market determine price. Not any more. If you do not have a store, it is free to list them, so don't go low, you can always relist.
Any completed similar listings on Ebay?

Nothing in this color is even listed on ebay but I saw a lot of eight (4 water goblets & 4 sherbets) in green sold for $120.
I have the water goblets and I think my color is more rare.
They are really beautiful - make me understand why so many people collect elegant depresssion glass.
I guess I'll list them in BIN and take offers.
Why does ebay restrict us so much.

I saw something similar on Storage Wars but they were 2 or 3 vases. They were worth 800 to 1,500. They changed from purple to blue. Storage Wars keeps repeating so you might see if you can find that episode. If I see it again, I will try to find the name of them

Wouldn't that be nice!!!
I'm sure these don't have that kind of value but I wish I could find more.
Maybe I'll try to contact a Fostoria Collector's Club or something.
I love watching Storage Wars but I didn't see that episode. My friend has a crush on Barry "The Collector" WHAT??

Your pricing is going the the wrong way! If you have found a place selling these glasses for 70 my starting bid price would $99.00 not $9.99.
I had one of those things you really don't know the value. I got it for free so figured I could at least get 10-20 bucks. It didn't sell so what the hay says I listed it for 40 bucks it sold for 63!

There's a name for your glass composition. Post your info on the eBay glass/pottery board. It will be worthwhile to have the proper name for the color changing glass in your listing.

I agree with alldings, list it with a higher starting price. You can always relist. With Ebay's best match crap, you don't want someone "stealing" it just because it is not that visible.
Do not GIVE them away!!

Yeah I guess ebay has me thinking crazy about the transaction number. If I can't list them as singles, I may as well make some money (hopefully) off them.
Thanks for the listing number otteropp. I've never heard that term before. The way they said it in their listing makes it sound like all Fostoria wisteria is diachromatic. If that's true then I guess my glasses are just call wisteria.

How interesting!
I do know that some pressed (I think) glass from prior to 1920..ish will change from clear to amethyst color when it has been sitting in the sun maybe on a windowsill for a long time. There was something in the glass that they stopped putting into it after that date.
Like it says in that article the colour can also be changed by putting clear glass under light for a long time too.
In the Antique shows up here there was a dealer who used to have fabulous displays of purple glass and they achieved that by taking plain old clear pressed glass and treating it with light.

"Diachromatic" glass is different that sun colored glass. The color process is begun when the glass is produced, not over a period of time when exposed to sunlight (natural or artificial).
I was at a rummage in Denver years back, where a woman had her whole yard strewn with early 1900's glass bottles and jars that were in the process of turning colors. Some of the glass turned a gray color instead of amethyst.

Babes: Why do you think you'll get into trouble with eBay if you list them separately??? I've never heard of a rule like that.

Max is one of the most knowledgeable people on this board when it comes to glass.
I'm hoping maybe you could help me ID a little piece of glass I have. It's very Murano looking and it is signed. It has 3 "S" in a circle inside a leaf looking symbol. Have you even seen that mark?
TIA
