You can remove a shortcut from your Favorites or Links list or menu by right-clicking it and then clicking Delete. Hope that is that what you are referring to.

Nope that only works on cookies. I am talking about bookmarks. When I click on the icon on the top of the page, the list appears. Right clicking and deleteing does nothing at all.

My bookmark program has a "manage bookmarks" link showing when I click on "bookmarks," (along with "bookmark this page." If you click on "manage," you can go to any bookmark and just hit your delete button. Hope that's what you have and that this helps.

From clicking on Favorites Mine has organize favorites that takes you to your favorites list where you can delete them.

Just got around to looking at my laptop that has the IE7 tabbed browsing, YOU can find the delete bookmarks on the browser look for the star with the green + sign on it highlight it or click it and a menue opens to reveal ORGANIZE FAVORITES from that resulting pop up window you can edit delete, make new folders rename your bookmarks...... Just thought I would tell you this so you will know how to find it easier next time you want to delete some bookmarks.

Trouble is that I have both bookmarks and favorites and the IE7 toolbar has the favorites and the Yahoo toolbar has the Bookmarks and not all the bookmarks are in the favorites. There are some in the bookmarks I want to delete. The Yahoo toolbar with the bookmarks has back, forward stop, refresh, home, mail, bookmarks, print, customize icons and on top of that file, edit view bookmarks, sidebar, tabs, signin, tools help. Clicking on bookmarks gives option of adding editing and importing - no organize. Hope I am not confusing anyone

Thanks for all the help but I just found out how to do it and managed to delete bookmarks that no longer have web sites. Used the edit option and found a delete.
