I am not real fond of selling this time of year. As well noted on the BB , people are real picky!
How can I handle this?
Here goes -
I have set S/H charges which include Priority Mail and DC.
I always mail the next business day.Pay today it is at the PO tomorrow. (or next business day)
Yadda Yadda
This morning a person from the Bronx , NYC purchase a coat - be a 7 pound package.
She did not option for insurance. Paid instantly via Paypal.
BUT also instantly emailed-a very short 6 word email -here a copy with her spelling and all
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
please send with signiture required.
thanks
WHAT? She is too stingy to pay for insurance but wants me to pay $1.90 for signature delivery
~~
How would you respond?
Refund her payment, then invoice for the $2.00 "additional services".
Dito on what Pat said. Add charges for the signature with return reciept of proof and it cost more than the $1.95 for just signature. $1.95? thought it was $2.50 or more think I am zoning here. LOL
Check it out
I would tell her that insurance insures an item, while signature delivery does not. And that if she only wants signature delivery, it will be mailed at her own risk.
I would ignore her request since she opted out of insurance and just do DC to cover myself. As long as the PO does not screw up and you have DC you are covered. She does not make up the rules.
I would email her that Signature Required is not included in the Postage cost. If she would like that please send the entire payment again or and you will refund the original payment. I would not refund before just to be sure you get paid
picky?
you didn't make enough on a 7 pound coat to include signature confirmation?
Wasn't it here that I read that for Paypal that delivery confirmation wasn't enough "proof"?
That it in fact requires a signature?
Bite the bullet and get the signature confirmation. Omit the insurance and move on.
I think Endicia charges something like $1.35 for signature confirmation. What's a $1.35? I've been adding it to all my packages. I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.
On-line trackable DC is what PayPal requires.
Glassgrl - what makes you think he made enough on a 7 pound coat? We don't know what he charged.
Hehehe .. last time I looked I am girl :x
I do not make much profit.
I did email the person and explained that Signature Confirmation was not included .
She emailed a few minutes ago saying she will Paypal $4.20 to cover Insurance and Signature Delivery.
On the average month, I'll have to file one Non-paying Bidder notice.
This month I've posted five. Plus I had my first bounced check. Buyer has contacted me to say that a money order is on the way, but I'm not holding my breath.
On the other side of the business, there are no more rummage/garage sales, thrift stores have dried up till spring, and the estate sales are overpopulated with dealers.
I Stongly dislike November.
