I just poped this off to ebay about closing disputes and getting screwed over yet again because they put a default check in the everything is hunky dory box on closing the dispute when the buyer has not responded. I had 1 person win 3 auctions filed did every thing right until wham no granting of final evaluation fees on 2 of them because I overlooked CHANGING the default check mark to second option. I am so mad I can't remember what they say but one will get your fees back the others will NOY and EBay has default in one in not giving fees back as default so they can mess us over yet again. Yes I am pissed at myself and FEEBAY but more at feebay cause they can fix that so that you can't close anything until you choose correct option for yourself. Below is what i wrote to them on their form page. Bet I get a stupid canned response probably about something entirely different. crp crp crp put an A in that and change it to the Sh*word. Steam coming out ears too. Kiss my but feestealingbay.

DID NOT get final evaluation fees back due to EBAY putting a default check in top option on closing dispute. I had 3 from same person and forgot about that default check and was closing disputes x 3 and on first one did notice to check end communications but second 2 I forgot to check reason to close so GOT NO FINAL REFUND GRANTED. I am NOT happy. Ebay should not let anyone close dispute unless we the disputee HAS to put our own check in reason to close. This in my opinion is way that ebay gets by with not refunding our fees when we accidentally click close dispute. It should be that if we don't put a check in an option ourselves then it will not finish until we physically put that mark in RIGHT option we wanted in first place not your default everything is ok crap.
Here is my results from closing a non responding NPB disputes times 3 I get fees back on one and others are not. I think you designed this on purpose so you don't have to give our money back to us due to an oversight on our part. Change your dispute page so NO ONE gets rooked over like I just did. OR refund my fees on all 3 auctions. I get screwed by a buyer then get messed over by ebay and it is EBAY's fault. Don't let us close dispute by having a default check in that top option that says both agree BS or what ever it says. This default check mark of yours in ebays favor adds insult to injury!
Here is my disputes I am angry!
disputes cut out for board posting.

I bit my lip and all 10 fingers writing that complaint off to ebay but you can substitute all the ugly words you want into my message and it would still NOT cover my anger. Yes it is my fault but it is also ebay's way of getting out of refunding fees and when you are angry about having to spend yet more time on a deadbeat you tend to get in hurry and overlook that darn default reason to close and wham screwed again. I KNOW ebay designed it that way so we are just out in left field trying to get them to fix it and be just to us.

I will post their response when I get it. Who wants to wager feebay doesn't even reply to reason I wrote in first place. Probably some off the wall rule page will be sent in response. Can ya tell I am hot? LOL Thanks for letting me VENT.

Sorry irked!

I came home last night to my first negative feedback from a non-paying bidder while it was being disputed for non-payment!

Granted I'm still at 99.9%, but still....

I was under the impression, if you did everything "correctly", they couldn't leave negative feedback. Obviously that is not the case.

BTW- I refuse to have it removed. Others have, as I am not the first, but they showed 100% positive as a result of "mutual withdrawal". Pizzes me off!

I know that feeling too. had a NPB leave me feedback that was negative just before they started that rule about them not leaving negatives if no response. I also think that my goof listed above will come back to bite me in other ways now they will probably be able to neg me 2 times on the 2 goofed up ones even though they didn't respond and I closed with wrong option I didn't physically choose either. And they don't get stike against them with that either ?? not sure but probably will screw me over again. I am still at 99.8% but if this jerk comes along and can leave feedback on those 2 goofed up closures I am really going to be Pizzed off at ebay for their stupid form and their default checking stuff for us garbage. ewwwwwwwww steam

Oh well go on and just put response on them if they do. Jerks!

Edited to add:
Hey Tom did that happen to you too? recently. Sounds that way. Twinkies he[[ plain old poopy sh* crp. LOL

HOLY CARP!
jUST CAME FROM FEEBAY LOOKING AT THE RELIST OF ONE i AM NOT GOING TO GET FEES BACK ON AND IT HAS SKYROCKETED. oops on capitals.
Maybe there is justice after all. First bid win was a measly $10.51 It is now sitting at $51.00 with 3 days left. I had relisted it before waiting to close dispute saying to heck with em. Just hope this one follows through. Yeah getting happier.

Twig, report em to feebay they usually do things about that kind of stuff I think. What kind of abuse ya talking about?

Just the usual name-calling type of BS.

But I don't need to keep having to sort through the junk to get to the ones that actually are valid from actual customers-to-be.

That was the first thing I did when I filed the very first of the dispute, blocked them from ever bidding again.. So far so good no retalitory negs but who knows. Anyway I am much cooler now but sure won't be if they decide to neg me but I take negs with a grain of salt after that last one over a year ago from a non paying bidder. Decided life was too short to get too bent. LOL

Strange I didn't even get a canned response when I wrote ebay wonder what is up with that , you usually get a got concern email then wait for them to answer it--didn't get one guess it is their way of ignoring me. If I don't hear by Thursday I will send another email by way of their stupid form contact page.
Pretty soon they will default fill in all the information for us on contact form with:

Everything is rosy just wnated to give you pat on back

Let me send you more fees so your account if full and mine empty, please raise the fees I can't wait

List my butt on ebay for you to rake over the coals once more

Don't give me any options, I hate wasting time with putting checks in them for myself.

Just go ahead and decide against me, that way I don't have to wait for response from ebay, let me down up front. After all I am one making you your money.

Free Kyjelly with form submittal.

you know this type prefilled in info.
Edited to add guess my little circle with it blacked out didn't show up for the list above sorry did look good though.

classic- I blocked them from bidding and have contacted eBay to see if I can block them from further contact through my "messages".

Ebay did send me a letter telling me how to get a neg removed...not likely, it'll remove theirs as well...too bad the other sellers chickened out and caved. They would be NARU'd now. And to contact the seller...I'M the SELLER! Jeez!

Your impression is correct. It's just your time line that isn't quite right. Since your dispute was not completed yet, the bidder could leave feedback. Once your dispute is closed and they do not respond, then they are locked from leaving feedback.

And they don't get stike against them with that either ??

Irked - That doesn't really even matter anymore. All they have to do is cry to eBay and eBay will remove the strikes. I've had it happen on a few of my UID's.

BTW - The dolls arrived and I left you positive feedback. I love them!! Thanks, too, for the extra!

Edited to add: Stone, as far as I know they can still leave you feedback unless they are new eBayers. I can't remember the timeframe on that, though.

I need to clarify my statement. I should have said the feedback ranking will not show, but the feedback statement will.

Here is a blurb from Ebay's site.

When a buyer does not respond to an Unpaid Item notification and the seller issues an Unpaid Item strike against them, the buyer can still leave a feedback comment, but the feedback rating they leave for the transaction will not appear and will not count toward the sellers feedback score.

An eBay administrative note will appear under the feedback comment, explaining that the member did not participate in the Unpaid Item process.

Glad you liked the little dolls, Appreciate you leaving feedback also. Just out of curiosity where do you find feedback at the ecrater site. I know I saw some feedback on others I think but don't know exactly where to look, maybe i am still in fog. LOL

Maybe they won't leave feedback like they didn't respond. LOL I am just wondering since I closed 2 with wrong option the first one that says ??worked it out or both agree bla bla bla something that that will make it ok for negs to show up that is mainly why I am upset. Was my fault for being in a hurry and not seeing and remembering that darn default reason to close dispute that really lets them off the hook in my opinion so wondering if their feedbacks would count if they left them. Anyone know if this is what happens or does their feedback not count if they did not respond period no matter what the reason for closing on first 2 options. ?

OK get ready to laugh. here is response I got back from dumbbay can't read very well bay. Said I was pas filing time dumb Sh*]s the auctions ended starting the 23 to 26th of August that is not past the dead line time and it is said like I can't get refund due to this, completely omitting any reference to their form and how it causes mistakes in closing the dispute here is their response. I filed for final credit and got one and 2 didn't ok due to their form and of course my goof.

Dear eBay member,

Thank you for writing eBay in regard to your Final Value Fees

I've confirmed that you did file an Unpaid Item dispute, but as the
final step of the dispute process, you need to request a Final Value Fee
credit. Unfortunately, we can't issue a credit for you at this point
because the deadline for filing a Final Value Fee credit for your item
has passed.

To be eligible for a Final Value Fee credit, please remember that you
need to:

- File the Unpaid Item dispute within 45 days of the listing's end date.

- Request a Final Value Fee credit between 10 and 60 days of the
transaction.

***Important***
Once the 60-day window has passed, you won't be eligible for credit.

For more details on the Unpaid Item process, please go to:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/tp/unpaid-item-process.html

If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to reply to this
email and let us know.

Sincerely,

Darnell B.

UPDATE!
My reply to the above post worked. I got all my fees back coming to me, which I didn't figure I would get but if it changes their way of closing a dispute I hope they take it to heart.. Guess telling them off helped. Probably now on their radar as a mal-content.
