I received this email via Vendio "ask a question". Why they thought I would know anything about glass, I do not know. Can anyone answer his question?
"I own 67 pieces of Pre WWI Czechlovakian Crystal Stemware which has been in my family since before 1920. They are all in exquisite shape. Can you provide me with a \"jumping off place\" to acquire guides to determine the true value of these pieces. Thank you.\"
I thank you in advance also. No pictures or anything else available. If anyone knows a book or website, that would be great and I will pass it on. If not, I will just delete it.

Sounds like someone email harvesting. Why would you ask a vintage ad seller a question about vintage glass? Kind of like asking a truck mechanic if he can fix your broken finger. If you have never sold to them before I think I would just ignore it.

Hey Mike, My Dad was mechanic. If you asked him how to fix a broken finger I guarantee you he could tell you how to do it. You just might not like the answer

I jammed my finger once.I told my wife "pull my finger quickly".....that was the last time she ever did that.

I think it's very nice of you to want to try to help.
You could suggest that she contact Replacement Services for help IDing the glass and/or putting a value on it. Warn her that they are high and not to sell to them - she could say she wants an insurance value or needs replacement pieces.
