I have cut my listings down to ten. I don't plan to re-open my store for the Christmas season either.

Well , I do all I can -- mostly to get rid of stuff!
Last fall/winter I did not sell much . My twin sister was very ill. She had a minor out patient day- surgery should have been home within 4 or 5 hrs.
Things went dreadfully wrong - she was on life support for 3 weeks . She spent almost 2 months in NC Bowman Gray Hospital(Wake Forest). She is almost back to her old self now . It will be a year Oct 23.
YEP! It is true! Identical twins do not function well when one is in peril.
I listed very little in November and December 2005
SO this fall/winter, I hope to list more.
I detest the Christmas season on eBay.
I really hope to get my house back (rid of eBay stuff) and really cut back in sales -2007

So glad to hear your sister is getting back to her old self! I'm not a twin (and many would say "Thank God" to that), but when my brother was ill it was terribly hard on me. I think it's also the sibling thing. . .
I closed my store and have cut down on the number of auctions I'm running. In fact, my eBay bill is going to be the smallest it's been in a long time. IMO, eBay's plan is back firing on them. I think they will find themselves losing money in the long run.

I just have to add - A lot of eBay buyers are also sellers. If the sellers make no money, they'll be an even further decrease in sales.

I just noticed that Google is indexing auctions but not store items? I did several searches on auction items that ended yesterday and the day before, they show right at the top of google results. Looked up some store items that have been running for 20+ days and they are nowhere to be found. I just used 3 keywords, not the whole title of the items.
